Vermont house rental on river,ATV,Kayak,Fishing,Hunting,bicycling,Moose,Deer"""

Bedrooms 4
Property type house
Minimum Stay 7 nights

About the property

location is great for everything.

Great Location,Quiet and easily accessible. The only rental home located on Vermont's most wild river, the Nulhegan River in the Northeast Kingdom! The entire property is located on the river and features a large ¾ acre field to the right of the home where you can park your RV. The land then tiers downward towards the river where there is a stone fire pit, benches and granite walls with granite stones that lead down to the river.

In the morning and at dusk Deer and Moose walk through our yard down to the river.

The only shallow swim hole on the river is at the end of our property. A natural eddy creates a reverse current so kids can swim but of course they must be watched! Due too natural silt deposit a small beach is formed after every winter. Our children and the previous owners children loved to swim hear and explore the river basin.

Trains- sometimes the trains go by at night behind the house on the other side of the river. Pretty neat!

4 wheeler ATV Trails are less than 5 minutes away in Stratford. Over 100 miles of ATV trails and home to the annual mud run.

Moose,Deer, Wild Animals,Bird Watching.-Just up the road is the Largest Moose and Deeryard in Vermont the Silvio O.Conte National Fish and Wildlife Refuge where there are several Moose stands so you can view them.---

Colebrook is a half hour away-24th Annual North Country Moose Festival!

August 28-30, 2015

WhiteWater Kayak and Canoeing- Park up in Silvio Conte and follow the river down because the take out is located on our property. -

Also Wenlock Wildlife management area another 2000 acres! is up the road.

Motorcycling Tours- House is located on route 105, one of the best motorcycle roads in Vermont, the house is located where you can do day loops in Vermont ,Canada, and NewHampshire.

Covered bridges- they are nearby the home.

Centrally located in the Northeast Kingdom and on New Hampshire Connecticut river border so everything is easy to drive to.

within half an hour or less from Island Pond, 1 hour to Newport, Colebrook,45 minutes from the Balsams and Lake Wiloughby and 20 minutes from Maidstone Lake if you own a boat.

My family has used this property to ATV,whitewater kayak, fish, swim, hike, ski, snowshoe and snow mobile. The property has been in our family for years and has provided countless friends, relatives and visitors with unforgettable memories.

My children are now in college and my parents are older so the property is used less. We have never rented it out but times have changed and this property is available.

First time renting ,the price is relatively low due to being first time on the market.

• Many recreational & dining options nearby: bike & running paths, boat launches, parks, restaurants, quick-stops, grocery stores.

If you are planning a Vermont vacation this year, please consider staying at our home.

Me and my wife drove up for the 4th of July festival. We had a great time and this house was located in a perfect spot. Went for a hike up the road came home and relaxed right on the river with a fire going .Later that week we drove up to Newport and had some elk for dinner at a restaurant. One of the mornings we woke up and deer were in the yard!! Description of property was spot on..We will be back. Thanks again for letting us use your home.
