Great care and attention to detail was paid to assure that our guests would walk into the cottage and feel that they were in for a treat. Original woodwork, Douglas fir wood floors and a sunroom lend it character. A covered front porch with a swing for two, as well as a deck off the sunroom and master bedroom for a sunset BBQ. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the backyard next to the apple tree and carve your name into the table, it's our guest book!

What makes this House unique
This newly restored cottage is the perfect place to get away from it all and truly enjoy all that the gold country has to offer. All the comforts of a fine hotel and so much more. Walk to one of the great downtown restaurants or prepare a quiet meal at home in your own cozy cottage. The home is a 10min. walk to the heart of town where you will have many choices of wonderful restaurants, coffee shops, shopping and specialty boutiques as well as many antique stores. Downtown Sonora also offers the outstanding Stage 3 Theater. Every Saturday morning, May thru October, stroll down to the Farmers Market and take home organic produce, baked goods and local crafts. March thru December Central Sierra Arts Council has their '2nd Saturday Arts Night' where downtown art galleries, shops and eateries celebrate the arts. Another wonderful feature of this home is the convenient location, as a 'hub' to many incredible destinations *Yosemite National Park...(1.5 hr to the entrance gate) YARTS bus leaves downtown every morning. *In the summer you can ride our Historic 49 Trolley bus between three of our gold rush towns: Jamestown, Sonora and Columbia. *Sonora with it’s shopping, dining, theater *Columbia State Park which is a preserved gold rush era town...(12 min. drive) *Jamestown's Historic Railtown State park is called 'the most photographed railroad in the world.' 'Petticoat Junction,' 'The Wild, Wild West,' 'High Noon,' 'The Virginian,' and 'Unforgiven' were all filmed here. Movie crews produced the railroad sequences in 'Back to the Future Part III'...(10 min. drive) *Tuolumne’s Black Oak Casino offers the 5 star “Seven Sisters” restaurant for fine dinning and the Willow Lounge for some 'free' live music...(15 min. drive) *For large lakes we have New Melones, Don Pedro and Tulloch (15-25 min. drive) *Pinecrest Lake is the perfect day at the lake.
Great hiking in the area. Loved walking to the main Street for coffee in the morning. Wonderful farmers market on Saturday.
Charming cottage with peace and quiet
We had a wonderful time in this charming cottage. It has a lot of indoor space as well as the covered porch in back to help manage the heat or cold and a great backyard picnic and game area. My son loved the hammock!
The kitchen is pretty well equipped although you should bring your own plastic bags and Saran Wrap if you use it.
The beds are firm but I thought comfy. My husband who likes a softer mattress was happy for the foam top we brought with us.
We didn’t walk to Main Street but there is plenty of free parking there for when it’s just too hot!
Nice place to stay
Cute house. Convenient location. Don't take Theall Street from Washington Street. Take the Dodge Ln route to avoid the extremely narrow road and steep hills. Would have been nice to have complimentary coffee and tea. TV was confusing - maybe the remotes weren't working. It was a nice place to stay.
Perfect little house for our family!
This house was absolutely perfect for our 3 day stay over in Sonora. It was decorated so cute, very clean and comfortable. Overall super cozy place!
Cozy and quaint little cottage.
Our overall stay was great. The house was kept up when we arrived. The neighbors were friendly. The bbq was all set up for us to enjoy and are kids had fun utilizing back yard area.
Wonderful place to stay!
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. It was a nice little place in a quite neighborhood and cool little town. Everything was clean, neat and orderly. No problems with check-in or during the stay. Would definitely stay there again.
Located in the heart of the Mother Lode, Sonora is an outdoor enthusiast dream. Lakes, rivers, hiking, rafting, rock climbing, fishing, you name it. Tons to do in the area including yosemite just an hour and a half away.
