Overview

About the property

This is a 3/br 2/bath property sitting on 0.5 acres overlooking the beautiful Little River near the Spring Bayou Wildlife Management Area. The property has a fishing dock and ample parking for vehicles and boats. If you are looking for a quiet getaway with plenty of good fishing, this place will not disappoint. There are tons of great restaurants nearby and the Paragon Casino is only ten minutes away! Note: The property is located off the beaten path and there are gravel roads on the way. While these gravel roads are well maintained, your vehicle may get a bit dusty or muddy, depending on the weather.

We expect our guests to behave with the civility and trustworthiness of a family friend. Sorry, no smoking. House is not child-proofed! Parents agree to mind their children vigilantly inside (art, antiques, family heirlooms abound!) and outdoors (there are pets & domesticated animals, snakes, stinging insects, and assorted other wild critters out here in the country!).

Unique experience

  • 4 of 5

Plenty room within the facility, two full Bathrooms which was nice for two senior women. The steps, although many, are a very gentle incline and easy to traverse. The dock was new and a pleasant place to enjoy a gracious beverage.

The ad shows a nice fire pit. It was full of mud and trash and unusable and no place to get wood. Definitely needs new cookware and a sharp knife. Mattresses were just OK. That is why I gave it 4 stars.

It was very peaceful and we enjoyed eating on the deck. Very pleasant stay. We would stay again if an opportunity was presented.

The cabin was awesome

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was awesome. The kitchen was fully stocked and both bathrooms even had extra shampoo and conditioner and body wash which my wife loved. The house was very clean. It did not have firewood for the fire pit but we loved fishing off the brand new pier.

Great place!!!

  • 5 of 5

I was looking for a quiet, relaxing weekend getaway close to home. This place was wonderful! Myself and a few close family members had a very enjoyable weekend. The place was very well kept with beautiful scenery. My mom had a great time fishing from the dock, catching several fish. The owner was very quick to respond to questions and requests. I have rented many times from the VRBO site and this has been one of the best experiences, and so close to home. Me and my family will definitely keep this in our favorites list for future getaways.
