About Edward Webb
We are retired, Ed is a retired Engineer and Cookie is a retired Nurse and teachers aide. We reside on the premises. Ed loves to make Stain glass projects and will give free lessons. Cookie loves reading, knitting, and gardening.
Edward Webb purchased this Estate in 2005
Why Edward Webb chose Pulteney
We've associated with Keuka Lake since 1970 and fell in love with the lake and all the friends enjoy meeting new friends. The local town is very friendly and has unique architecture and old fashion stores . We love the spacious capacity of the property and the 1st and 2nd floor covered 10' x 40' porches where we often eat outside rain or shine.
What makes this Estate unique
9 foot ceilings with double doors and large picture windows makes this house unique. There is a handicap sidewalk and flower beds leading to the beach.

Relaxing and Fun for the Whole Family!
We had a great experience for a long weekend family get together. We spent the majority of the time boating (including using their kayaks and floaties), swimming, and relaxing or dining on the large deck well-equipped with a picnic table, swing bench, lounge chairs, and a tote with a variety of sizes of life jackets and water shoes. The fire pit at night right on the water was a great end to the evening. The basic kitchen essentials are available including a gas range with oven, small sink and counter, refrigerator/freezer, microwave and large toaster oven, plus coffee maker and filters, and some basic spices and kitchen tools. The beds were comfortable and the owners are so accommodating and not intrusive at all. They even let us blow up our tube with their air compressor for boating fun. Thanks so much for providing a comfortable place for a great time, and for the yummy coffee cake, Ed and Cookie!
Great Family Get Together
The house was clean and had plenty of room for our family vacation. The outdoor space is fantastic and was perfect for spending all day and evening outside. There were several boats available to use, a great fire pit out by the water and lots of places to relax outside and keep an eye on the kids. The property sits on a small cove, so the swimming is great too! There are neighbors, but the way it is laid out, it felt pretty private. Cookie and Ed were very good hosts, friendly and checked in to make sure everything was going well. Overall, a great stay!
Clean with a nice view on the water
While Ed and Cookie were very nice hosts and accommodating with us for early arrival for a Friday night wedding we were attending, we found it a bit uncomfortable having them living above us. Felt like living in an apartment hearing movement, tv, conversations. There were lots of do's and don'ts, many of which were pointed out in the 8 page lease upon arrival, others were just their added on rules that included use of lights and fans, the shower, no smoking anywhere on the premises, no sparklers and so on. The WiFi was spotty at best and went completely out Saturday evening and was still out when we left Sunday afternoon. When we told Ed, he responded with "well, that's what happens around here". BUT it's listed as their #1 amenity and an important amenity these days, I might add. Upon leaving, Sunday rather than Monday, I went to turn in the key and say thank you. I was told I had to strip the beds. This was not in the 8 page lease, making it totally unexpected and I felt "put out" that I had to do this when I was ready to leave. Kitchen amenities were sparse, the coffee pot was out on the porch, the microwave was on the other side of the room from the kitchen, and the outdoor grill seemed to be on its last leg. We did enjoy the location on the water, the large porch and the kids used the paddle boat. Price was too high, but overall, it was "ok" for a weekend. We did learn from this experience and realize this was not a good fit for our family. I suggest supplying a copy of the lease at time of reservation for review, then there are no surprises.
Sorry you felt putout. Ed & Cookie
Wonderful place and great owners
My family and I really enjoyed our stay. Ed and Cookie were great owners and gave a lot of suggestions as to what there was to do that was kid friendly. I would recommend this place and the coffee cake and cookies that she made for us were awesome. Very clean and enjoyed the stay.
Thank you for the nice review and come back any time we loved your attitude.
