Guestbook comments from the manager

This apartment was just as described and it met all of our family's needs for a multi-day stay. "Marie" is really a reservation service, but they have planned things very well so it didn't matter a bit that no host was around. Having a washer and dryer was very nice.

Cute Studio Apartment in South End - Perfect For 2

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I arrived in the evening on a Friday. We took the subway from the airport to the Back Bay station. The studio is just a short 5 min walk away from that station, which made getting around via the subway very easy and convenient. The lockbox was easy to use and everything worked as described. The neighborhood is very nice and we noticed that the street was extremely quiet at night, even on a weekend! The studio was the perfect size for my husband and I. Everything was clean, neat, and tidy when we arrived. The only downside is you need to be able to carry your luggage up a very narrow staircase to the second story. The staircase is old and creaks quite a bit whenever you use it. There are other residents living there so we tried to be as quiet as possible. There is a small AC unit in the window and that was perfect to cool down the studio when needed. They have a single cup coffee maker with a variety of coffee pods to choose from, which I thought was nice. We really don’t have any complaints. We loved the area and the property and we would absolutely stay there again.

Small, but great location for a stay!

  • 4 of 5

It's basically the size of a decent hotel room, but great location 3 blocks from the T and Back Bay Amtrak in nice neighborhood. Good value.

Spacious, functional & convenient location!

  • 4 of 5

Overall, we were very happy with our choice to stay here. The unit is as described, and the photos accurate. The unit was suitably clean and spacious, and it even had lots of room just inside the front door to store our family's 4 bicycles - which was a huge bonus! We had a couple of requests/questions on our first day, and the owner (and his team) were extremely prompt in attending to them - very impressive! The location is VERY convenient if you just want to park your car for the week and not drive anywhere: Kappy's liquor store just down the street, groceries & restaurants right across the street, and the subway terminal just a 5 minute walk away. We road our bikes to MIT, Harvard, and the Aquarium without much difficulty, using bike routes found on google maps (WAY easier than driving!). "Legal on the Mystic" (great seafood restaurant) is only short bike ride away (over the bridge and down the path) in a nice shopping area called Assembly Row. There is also a fantastic pizza place (Regina Pizza) right near the subway in Station Landing. As a middle-class/budget rental, I would definitely give this a 5 star rating, however, I wouldn't want people to get the idea that this is "luxury" accommodation. The owners have made good updates throughout the house which make it an enjoyable and functional space for families, but the kitchen cupboards and closets, for example, are still dated. If you're looking for a spacious, functional, convenient place with very responsive owners, you've found it. We would definitely recommend, and yes, we'd stay there again.

Nice little apartment, well stocked and in a nice area with easy access to the subway. Good information provided about getting around and things to do in Boston. If I had to make a comment it would just be to say that the kitchen and bathroom are pretty old and although they function a bit of modernisation would improve the apartment further. Overall - perfectly adequate and we liked staying there.

Awesome quaint apartment in a prime Boston location!

  • 4 of 5

We stayed in Unit B for 3 days while we were visiting the New England area. We found the apartment very cozy, charming and quaint with all the amenities that anyone would need while traveling. The bathroom was very modern and up-to-date, the kitchen was stocked with everything you would need if you were preparing meals there. The bed was very comfortable and the location is ideal! Just a short walk to bars, restaurants, Boston Commons and many historical sites. The street was beautifully aligned with gorgeous Brownstones and very peaceful and quiet. The only things that I could say negatively about it is the stairs up to the second floor are narrow and very squeaky - and on one night, whoever was staying in the downstairs apartment, had at least 3 guys come in very late and were extremely loud. That is why I gave my rating 4 stars instead of 5. The other nights were very peaceful. Marie was extremely helpful and very nice to talk to. Thanks for all your help Marie!
