Perfect choice for our weekend getaway!
This place is a hidden gem everything was perfect and as advertised. We would highly recommend staying here. Woke up to see three deer grazing in the yard. Beautiful view of the mountains off of the porch. Owners home is next door in case anything is needed but we had everything we needed and it was very peaceful and extremely clean and appears to be practically new. You won't regret staying here it's minutes from downtown yet very secluded. Thanks Sharon for your hospitality!🙂
Cozy, clean and comfortable!
The owner is kind and friendly. Great star watching deck off the bedroom. Convenient to Staunton.
Lovely site. Quiet. Peaceful Terrific view eastward back towards Waynesboro and Afton.
Clean, compact and roomy at the same time. Great location for lots of activities - - football games (we saw JMU paste W&M in Harrisonburg), food (Waynesboro, Staunton, Harrisonburg, et. al.). Close to interstates, close to nature, quiet, serene, convenient.
This was the perfect place for out Mother & Daughter getaway. The apartment is beautifully furnished and comfortable amid the quiet and scenic landscape. I could live here year round!
Fabulous rural retreat close to historic Staunton, Shenandoah NP and Blue Ridge Parkway
Sharon and Alan's retreat in the hills outside historic Staunton makes the perfect base for exploring this interesting area of Virginia. The apartment is well appointed, comfortable and spacious and features Sharon's exceptional botanical artworks. It has glorious views across the Shenandoah valley towards the Blue Ridge Mountains. The surrounding area includes the well preserved downtown area of Staunton with its fine buildings, shops, cafes and restaurants and the admirable American Shakespeare Centre. Nearby is the living Frontier Cultural Museum and the natural beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains and parkway and the Shenandoah National Park and skyline drive. Sharon and Alan are gracious and welcoming hosts who complement the whole rural Virginian experience and make it memorable.
Spectacular location, lovely apartment and gracious hosts. I hope to come back again!
