Overview

About the property

3 bedroom 1 bath house directly across the street from the beach, close to town.

The Atlantic View house is newly renovated, fresh, and waiting for you! The floor plan boasts an open kitchen, dining and living room, facing east. The kitchen features

all new appliances and a butcher block counter. New cabinets and a pantry for necessities and for the person who prefers to cook in!

The restored hard wood floor in the living room dates from 1965 and looks amazing!

A short hall leads to the bedrooms, bathroom and laundry room. All brand new beds with memory foam mattresses and tropical decor. Plenty of towels and even some beach towels to enjoy your stay.

The yard is a typical Florida beach rock yard, with flower beds in front. There's a small front porch on the house. Perfect to sit and smell the ocean, while feeling the salt air on your skin.

This is a cozy and tastefully done beach house in a well established neighborhood. Not many street lights because they distract nesting sea turtles. A refreshing way to enjoy the night sky!

Come, relax, and enjoy.

About betsy morgan

I grew up "in the Swamp", Gainesville, Florida, home of the University of Florida. As a kid my family came to Saint Augustine every summer and often on weekends during the school year.

Eventually I moved to Saint Augustine, so I could always have the sand between my toes! I love the beauty and history of our city and never ever tire of the beach.

betsy morgan purchased this house in 1994

Why betsy morgan chose Florida North East

The Atlantic View house is special to me, because it holds many fond memories of a magical childhood during simpler times. My mother and grandmother, two adventurous women ahead of their time, had the house built in the 1960's. At that time the beach was mostly uncrowded, especially during the winter when we had the entire place to ourselves.

I've enjoyed seeing Saint Augustine grow and am never surprised by the positive reaction of visitors to the oldest city in the nation. Come see for yourself!

What makes this house unique

The nice thing about this house is the comfortable and intimate feel. At once casual and classy, you know you're at the beach and you feel like you're at home. The ocean is literally across the street and over the dune so you can smell the salt air and hear the waves!

This house is in the ideal location, both for beach and town.

We had a wonderful week in St. Augustine, really enjoyed our stay at this welcoming beach home. So much to do and see all within minutes and the ocean right across the way. Loved it, would definitely return and stay here again!

The beach cottage was everything it claimed and more. The space was well appointed and very clean.

Our family really enjoyed our stay. The cottage is bigger than it seems in the pictures. Very comfortably furnished. The owner had just the right amount of items supplied for renter use. The cottage isn't overwhelmed with owner possessions like other rentals we have stayed in. The distance to the beach isn't bad. The path pictured in the listing isn't passable but just a short walk down is a paved road. The beach isn't overly crowded and the beach equipment the owner provides was a real plus. The outdoor shower was a life saver for cleaning up sand after a visit to the beach. We would seek out renting this property again in future trips to St. Augustine.

Quaint Beach Bungalow

  • 5 of 5

We spent two nights at this beach cottage and it was a perfect mini-vacation to celebrate my fiance's birthday. This house is beautiful and well maintained. The interior is completely remodeled and is much larger than it appears in the photos, and, to top it off, is thoughtfully decorated. Internet, TV, and cable work just fine (though hopefully you will be spending the majority of your time on the beach!). The owner has a small shed with beach chairs/umbrellas/blankets for use - all in perfect condition. The beach is a short walk across the street (note about this: there IS a beach access walkway directly across the street from the house, but during our stay, the walkway was overgrown with brambles, so we opted to walk a half block down to the main beach entrance -- walking from door to seaside on this route took about 4 minutes). The beach was beautiful and the water is much lighter blue than at other North Florida beaches. Owner was easy to work with -- very responsive via email and text. Definitely recommend this to anyone!

cozy and very comfortable.

  • 4 of 5

This cottage was very close to the beach. Our 2 grandsons (3&6) loved the huge beach to run and play. The sandy lane in front of house was ideal for the kids to ride bikes. It was a safe area to play which eased this Grandmom's nerves. The beds are very comfortable and very nice linens.I can't say enough about the owner Betsy. If you needed anything she got back to you quickly, and one of the nicest people I have met. The only negative was the weather being windy for most of our stay.Locals told us that it was unusual. All the neighbors were nice. Hope to return again!! This cottage is clean and nice furniture thru out! Janice and Bob

Great Location - Totally Remodeled

  • 5 of 5

The interior of this house is even nicer than the pictures. Everything has been remodeled so it is all new and extremely clean. There are also extra paper towels & toilet paper, dish washing & laundry soap, salt & pepper - even Starbucks coffee. We also loved the neighborhood as it is quiet and it is very close to the Matanzas beach ramp. The owner is very easy to deal with and quick to respond to emails. It was my first Home Away rental and I was very pleased. Definitely would rent this property again.

Owner's Response: Thanks so much, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay! This was originally my grandmother's house, built in the early 1960's and it's been such a pleasure updating it. I appreciate knowing that I can provide a relaxing retreat in a quiet neighborhood . Come back any time, Kat!

Car: recommended

This 3 bedroom one bath house is nestled between Butler Beach and Crescent Beach in a quiet, not so crowded section of St. Johns county.

Large, flat, drivable beaches with life guards in some areas.

The house is a stones throw from the Matanzas Beach ramp which makes for convenient walking or driving.

The front of the house faces east. Walk down to the ramp and see the sunrise! Play on the beach during the day and drive in to town for dinner and historic attractions later on.

St. Augustine Pier and Anastasia State Park are just a few miles to the north and offer lots of outdoor recreation activities. Plenty of bars, restaurants, and shops to keep you going all day!

Marine Land Dolphin Adventure is a short drive south. This is an oceanarium with interactive opportunities and lots to learn. Swim with dolphins!

This house was my grandmothers. It's just been completely renovated. I hope you love it as much as I do!
