Lovingly Maintained 3 Bedroom 3 Bath Home
Our home is located on a quiet cul de sac in central Westport. It is perched on a hill and has an English cottage feel. While neighbors are close by, flora surround much of the backyard which makes it feel very private. There is a hot tub, grill, and a patio right outside the backdoor off the kitchen. On the side of the house there is a shady nook with seating - the best outdoor spot for summer reading. In the front of the house there is a basketball court and some lawn space to throw a ball around. The house is 2400 sq. ft with 3 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, a cozy den/TV rm., good sized living room, gourmet kitchen, small office, and laundry alcove conveniently located between the 3 upstairs bedrooms. Newly added is a converted garage, housing a professional-size pool table, ping pong table, home movie theatre, seating, and loft.
The house is a 1929 built antique that has been fully updated to offer multiple zoned central air-conditioning and a fully equipped cook's kitchen with high-end appliances as well as some structural changes to create a more open flow and more space. However, some antique elements have been maintained such as the original 12 pane windows, 3 working fireplaces, original antique floors, ceiling beams and doors.

About David Deitch
We are a family of four with two sons, ages 10 and 13. We very much enjoy our house and life in Westport. We love to gather for movie night and games in the cozy den. The boys make full use of the basketball court, two tree swings which have a terrifically long swing excursion and the tree house. We enjoy frequent dinners at the beach where the kids have special spots they always visit along the jetties and always meet friends known and new at Compo playground. We fish and continue to explore hiking around the county. We are arts lovers and take advantage of the many cultural events in Westport, as well as from New Haven to Manhattan. We have lived here for 15 years and we will be very happy to share what we know about the town to be sure you can take full advantage of what the town has to offer.
Why David Deitch chose Westport
Walking distance to Town, Westport Country Theater, & The Levitt Pavilion. Charming, comfortable, & conveniently located across the street from Town tennis courts and baseball fields, and within an easy drive to Town facilities, including Longshore Golf & numerous beaches, restaurants, movie theaters, & shopping.
What makes this House unique
The property is fairly 'private' due to the topography of our hilly backyard, which sports a treehouse and 3 sitting areas, one uniquely shaded.

Beautiful Quiet Westport Home
Our family of 5 stayed in this beautiful Westport home over the holidays and had a wonderful experience. We were visiting local family and it was a charming home with a comfortable kitchen and dining area, living room and best of all, a hot tub directly out the back door! The owner Dave was fantastic to work with and answered any questions we had throughout the booking process and stay. The home was conveniently located near downtown Westport, a short drive to the train station to get to NYC and was located on a quiet residential street. We loved it and would highly recommend it and stay again!
There are quite a few uneven stairs to get to the front door so I would not recommend it for people that have difficulty navigating stairs but otherwise it is great!
Our home is in central Westport, within walking distance to town (approximately 3/4 mile). Within Westport & nearby communities there are many restaurants, both high end and more casual, much shopping, a beautiful riverfront library and the Levitt Pavilion for the Performing Arts, where a variety of free outdoor concerts can be enjoyed 6 nights/wk. The house is located on a cul de sac across the road from town tennis courts and a baseball field. Pristine Compo Beach is approximately 3 miles away. The drive or bike ride is a straight run along lovely Compo Rd. About 2 miles down Compo is Longshore Club Park - previously an upscale country club acquired by the town that offers a Golf course, 3 swimming pools, multiple tennis courts, a well regarded sailing school, snack bar and restaurant all situated right on the Long Island Sound. There are several places to rent kayaks and paddle boards including Longshore - and many spots to launch your own if you have one. The house is 5 minutes to the Post Rd. where there a number of supermarkets, specialty markets, pharmacy etc. The Westport Country Playhouse is a 5 min. drive away as is the Merritt parkway.
