Family Retreat!

  • 5 of 5

What a fantastic way to spend our holiday week in the hospitality at 32 Haystack Way. The property exceeded our expectations of comfort and amenities for our 6 adults and 4 kids. Our leasing agent was fantastic to work with and came through with a couple of holiday touches that made our season special. The house is in a great location, being so close to town. we highly recommend this house for you and the family's next vacation. We will be back!

  • 5 of 5

The title doesn't lie! This is the perfect home base for winter fun and its very close to the village. Our group was amazed at the size of the house. Its layout and number of bedrooms was perfect. Bonnie - our leasing agent was such a pleasure to work with. Our group is already looking forward to returning next year!

Cozy home for families

  • 4 of 5

We had a great stay at this home! Loved that it was central to town and a few minutes from the grocery store. When we pulled up I saw the wrap around decks and gorgeous windows and got excited for the great views especially during the snowfall. The house was decorated cute and loved the ambience it created for a cozy night in. My only suggestions is to add another railing on staircase on first floor especially if families like ours stay with small children and a night stand by the bed in the room with the bunks would be helpful to store things. The house was well equipped with things we needed! We would definately stay again!

Owner's Response: Luigina, wanted to let you know that we installed the second railing as you suggested along with additional night stands in the second bedroom. Thanks again for your suggestions. Thanks Luigina for a nice review and your honest feedback. We are always looking for ways to make the stay better for our renters and these suggestions will go a long way. Consider the night stands done. Railing is a tricky issue though as it was an architectural choice to have the railing on the other side. But, I do see your point and we will research options on the railings ASAP. Thanks again for your feedback and we look forward to hosting your family again soon.

Great house and location!

  • 5 of 5

We were two families and thoroughly enjoyed the property! We had plenty of space and the memory foam king bed was the best sleep I have had in a long time. The weather was perfect to enjoy the cool air. We had windows and doors open at all times. The kids loved playing downstairs with the air hockey and ping pong. They also enjoyed just being outside around the property. There are lots of spots to sit and relax both indoors and outdoors. We met a very friendly neighbor dog who came over a couple of times. The kids were in heaven! The property is very close to grocery stores and the the main street. It was tucked away and private yet close enough to everything we needed. The house was well stocked with kitchen utensils, blankets, pillows and towels. We really enjoyed the property and the large wrap-around deck. It was so peaceful at this house. Our only recommendation would be to add a small firepit outside. That would really complete the family fun. There is an indoor fireplace but we did not want to use it in summer. We were more than pleased with this house! We did not want to leave.

Owner's Response: Thanks Angela for your kind words. I love the idea about fire pit. It will be a fun project this fall, maybe. Hope you had a chance to try the outside fireplace on the deck though. Looking forward to hosting you and your family again soon this time with the fire pit.

Beautiful, large house, close to everything!

  • 5 of 5

This was one of the best vacation homes we have stayed in. The house appears to be newly furnished overall and extremely comfortable. Master suite is beautiful and large with a memory foam king sized bed and an nicely updated bathroom. We cooked some great meals and found the kitchen fully equipped. Non breakable plates and cups were a nice touch for our kids. We used the outdoor grill a few times and the large wrap around deck was great to spend an evening on, with a bottle of wine. The house is large enough to find your own quiet corner if you need to. The sunroom with its views, was my quiet zone where I managed some reading as well. We have two active boys, and while we were in the house there was no dearth of entertainment. An air hockey table, a ping pong table, access to netflix, and plenty to explore on the property. The house is located on a quiet, private street, great for walks and for our kids to ride their bikes. Given how large and tucked away the property seems to be, it is surprisingly close to everything. 5 minute drive to the village, less than 5 minute drive to the jack rabbit trail, restaurants, stores etc. We hiked up several mountains, all of which were within a 10 minute radius. We have been to Lake Placid before, and this trip was significantly more comfortable and enjoyable. Great location and very nice house. We left there very reluctantly. We will definitely go back to this house again!

Very comfortable, nicely equipped home

Very nice house. It was exactly as described. Very well equipped kitchen. Great, quiet setting but close to shops and restaurants. The property manager, Bonnie Morris was great to work with. One of the easiest short term rentals I have ever taken.
