healthy Joshua Trees and over one hundred Yuccas. Magnificent views of Joshua Tree National Park and the mountains to the west. Early risers wake up to glorious sunrises with Quail families and Jackrabbits playing outside your bedroom window. Then take your pick from the multitude of outdoor seating and hammocks and enjoy the silence as you watch for lizards, antelope squirrels, coyotes, hawks, bobcat and more - ( a desert tortoise if you are lucky!) that thrive in this protected area. Dreamers enjoy breathtaking sunsets around the warmth of the outdoor fire-place. The bats come out to play and then the sweeping night sky full of shooting stars. Ah, idle inspiration!
Newly built, the home offers clean, simple, light filled spaces: a modern kitchen, lovely dining area to enjoy a good meal with family and friends, skylights, upscale furnishings, indoor Jacuzzi tub, convenient laundry facilities, flat screen TV for DVD's only, stereo music device pairing, two very comfortable queen size beds, and two sets of bunk beds and verandas. About Geri Girardin
I am a university professor and a Trader. Having experienced the joys of both travel and staying in other people's homes, I have the right perspective to put my guests at their ease. I am a Canadian. I grew up in a village north of my university city, Edmonton. When I picked up and moved to Australia, a new world opened up for me. Since then, I have enjoyed experiencing various cultures and cuisines.
Geri Girardin purchased this House in 2015
Why Geri Girardin chose Joshua Tree
I loved this property from the moment I became aware of it. I like the Santa Fe style of architecture. I think it fits into the desert landscape. Additionally, the home is furnished in a modern, clean unobstructed way which will surely delight you.
What makes this House unique
Initially, I got a big kick out of the cowboy spa. However, when evening fell and the stars appeared above the twinkling lights of Joshua Tree in the distance, it took my breath away. As a city girl now for many years, I had forgotten how vast and deep the sky is. I mean, I know this intellectually but to experience it viscerally - wow!

The pictures really don't do any justice for this amazing property. We were completely floored the moment we opened the front door. The house has a great open floor plan that really is an entertainer's dream. It's tastefully decorated and you can simply tell that Geri put so much love into this home. The kitchen was fully stocked with plenty of plates, cups, and utensils. Each room had a care basket just in case someone forgot a toothbrush, comb, or other essentials. There were 8 of us that stayed here and there was plenty of room for everyone. We spent most of the day enjoying the property and lounging around the various chairs in the front and backyard. We really wanted to enjoy the cowboy spa, but there was too much rust for our taste so we didn't go in. Geri did mention this to me beforehand, but it was just our bad luck that this wasn't going to be fixed until after our stay. Communication with her was great and we couldn't have wished for a better stay. We can't wait to go back!
Super relaxing and cozy
We had the most wonderfull time! The view was breath taking, the house was warm and cozy and I would highly recommend this property to a friend! They made us a guide to help make our experience and stay more exciting. The owner checked in daily to make sure we were okay, which was super sweet. The best part was just enjoying the scenery.
Perfect Desert Home
Perfect home with everything you need to forget about life outside of the desert. Home has everything you need… grill, stocked kitchen, large living room, large bedrooms and beautiful views. No complaints here. Thank you for everything Geri.
Comfortable, Spacious Home In Peaceful Setting
This comfortable, beautifully-decorated home made our visit to Joshua Tree even more special. The home is well-maintained and has all the amenities to make our stay as comfortable as our own home.
The desert landscaping is lovely, too, with complete privacy to the north and east, and a good distance from the neighbors to the south and west. Paths lead to several meditation spots on the property, and the neighborhood is very quiet. All we heard were the birds and coyotes.
The landscaping and bird feeders attract lots of wildlife! There were always quail, pigeons, jackrabbits, and cottontails around (except when the Cooper's hawk showed up), and we also saw the occasional cactus wren, woodpecker, roadrunner, hummingbird, coyote, and kangaroo rat. More wildlife than we saw hiking two-and-a-half days in JTNP!
Our host, Geri, left instructions for everything and also kept in touch through text messages throughout our visit. We didn't have any problems, but I feel that of we did, she would have responded right away.
Exactly as promised
Stayed at Quail Crossing for three nights with our family of four. It's a very clean and spacious house. The natural light inside is terrific. The kitchen was nice enough to do some of the light cooking we did- nothing fancy, but fine for our needs. We were pleasantly surprised by the various sitting areas outside and the chairs placed around the property. We were able to enjoy the desert very comfortably. A really nice place to relax. All of us enjoyed the quail and the roadrunners and all of the other birds at the feeders.
We like the location. Its a short drive to the Joshua Tree Park where we hiked every day. The restaurants were a short drive away, and we enjoyed The Frontier Cafe and Pie for the People.
We didn't sleep very well on the mattress provided, but that's a personal thing. Geri was super accommodating and it was obvious that our enjoyment was a high priority for her. If we were to visit that area again, we would return to Quail Crossing.
Quail crossing is the perfect desert getaway
Geri was very helpful and attentive in making our stay as comfortable as possible. We found our stay to be very relaxing.
