About Janet Mills and Josh Rodriguez

I have Lived and worked in the Omaha area my whole life, this is my first adventure with offering my home as a vacation rental. My Husband and I have worked to make this place as comfortable for you as it has been for us.

Janet Mills and Josh Rodriguez purchased this house in 2014

Why Janet Mills and Josh Rodriguez chose Omaha

I have always adored the old brick homes in the area, when this one came up for sale I fell in love with it inside and out - from the crazy tile in the kitchen to the immaculate hardwood floors under the dingy carpet . It took many months of hard work to get it polished and ready to live in but I think we did it and I hope you enjoy this place as much as we do. It has been a great adventure making this home what it is and we are looking forward to all the future changes we have in mind to make it an even better experience for you as our guest, if its your first time or if you chose to stay here on your next visit as well

What makes this house unique

Surround yourself with original art, color, and mid century kitsch with newly refinished hardwood floors and furniture.

Very comfortable family stay!

  • 4 of 5

We had a great time at this house! Other than the kitchen being a little tight, it was a great size for our family of 4 (kids age 4 and 15 months). The porch and yard were especially fun for outside play with the kids (and rest for us while they were napping). And it was in the perfect location for all that we wanted to do. I especially appreciated Janet's flexibility--we added a day to our original reservation, and we needed a little extra time on the last day to get everything packed up. All in all, it was an excellent place!

PERFECT Accommodations For Us!!!!

  • 5 of 5

The home is really cute & VERY well kept. No misrepresentations whatsoever. Hosts were very responsive when I had questions. Location was close to the Zoo, & Old Market area, which is why we were there for the weekend.

We would definitely stay there again when in the area.

Creatively decorated and Great location

  • 4 of 5

This is a very sweet and creatively decorated house is a good and safe Area of Omaha. On one hand I loved this place. 1. It's a quick drive to downtown.2. The queen bed was comfy. 3. We could park off the street. 4. There was a washer and dryer. 5. They were generous with allowing you to sign in to our netflicks account. 6. Nice TV for end of the day movie. Internet was excellent. 7. Great deck we would've used if it had been a little warmer. 8. Really creative art and decor. 9. The owners were pretty good about communication and had a book with instructions and recommendations. I would totally give it a 5 star with the exception of three things. 1. When I rent a VRBO I plan to use the kitchen. It's one of the reasons I rent it instead of going to a hotel. This kitchen was not well equipped. Add some better pans, knives, and other basics and I'm happy. 2. I was visiting my sister and we like to cuddled up on the couch and just chat. Although their chairs were comfy enough (really loved one of them), the couch was a hard, pleather futon. Clearly this allows bigger families the ability to have someone sleep in the livingroom but it makes chatting or watching a movie very uncomfortable. I say get a better couch and offer a good blow up mattress. 3. The beds in the twin room were pretty warped. The memory foam topper didn't help much. Overall it was a pleasant stay.
