About Vacasa, CA - Los Angeles County Office
Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers. <br> <br> Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental managementthings like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team. <br> <br> Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

The outside looks like a cute, cozy, tiny home tucked away in back off the road. Upon arrival things began to go downhill very quickly. The lockbox was loose and therefore no matter how many times you press the buttons you were not able to solidify the code. It took quite some time to even get the key to get into the front door. When we tried to enter the door, it was jammed and you had to slam it to get the door to shut and the slamming of the door made a lot of noise and was a lot of frustration. The place looked clean at first however once we started to unpack we realized just how dirty the place was and I didn't understand why we would pay for a cleaning fee if the place did not look like it had been cleaned in over a year. There were heavy duty cobwebs all over the windows and one window had a dead fly wrapped up in a spiderweb hanging from the curtain by the bed where we lay our head. I spilled a little bit of water on the table where we were supposed to eat and I took a white cloth to clean it and the it was so black I almost threw up. Obviously the table looks like it has never been washed. The shower was so small that I was not able to wash my hair or shave my legs or do anything without banging my head into the wall or get out of water spraying in my face. I am only 4 11 if I had a hard time fitting in there can you imagine anyone else? To make matters worse our tiny rental was in between two homes who each had dogs. The dogs barked all day and all night long they never stopped! one of the homes to the right of us had party all night long and because the walls and windows are so thin even with the air conditioner on and you could hear everything that was being said. And just as soon as the dogs would quiet down we would have to go out the door and then the slamming of the door would continue the barking for another several hours. Everything in there was made very cheap. But then again I guess you get what you pay for. The bed is a twin bed the bottom twin that supposed to pull out does not work so you either sleep together in a twin bed or you sleep on the floor. The twin bed that actually is working the mattress does not completely fit so you're constantly falling off the entire night while you're trying to sleep. Called the representative here locally who is in charge of my stay as far as problems questions or concerns and she said what would you like me to do I can't make the neighbors and the dogs stop making noise.
We are sorry to see this guest's stay appeared to have been filled with frustrations. We will review these comments to determine where we can make immediate improvements. Thank you!
Worst rental I've been in to date
I'm not generally a picky person. I'm easy going and just need a clean quiet place to sleep while on my trips. I chose this place because it was "dog friendly". I unfortunately arrived very late in the evening. Had I arrived in the daytime I would have asked for a refund and tried to find somewhere else to stay.
The Good: I liked the neighborhood. It is older but I felt safe walking my dog around. People were friendly and there were parks nearby. The shower was clean and the water was hot. The little kitchenette was clean and served its purpose. Unfortunately this is where the good ends.
The Bad: parking is on a very busy street and at night the parking in front of the house sometimes fills up so I had to park several houses down. The studio itself could be cute if it was really remodeled well like the ad stated. Everything was done cheaply. The space is small which didn't bother me so it should not have been expensive to do a good remodel. Instead there is cheap laminate, thin walls, old windows, etc. The walls are thin so you can hear the neighbors dogs which bark all the time during the night. The windows are single pane and old and the door is an interior door with a gap at the bottom. There were spiders and bugs inside and I didn't me or my stuff was safe with such a flimsy door. The walls were dirty and the bed was uncomfortable. The carpet is brown but you can tell its filthy. There is no tv or radio. The windows are covered by flimsy white curtains. You are in the backyard. There are 2 houses that seem to share this backyard. I wasn't sure if the people that own the rental house in front and the studio also own the other house so I wasn't sure if I was using part of someone else's backyard which was uncomfortable. The backyard had an abandoned car and that part was overgrown with weeds. The fence around the bigger rental was falling down. There is a large gap on the side where the gate latches so you can't have your dog off leash.
The real kicker for me was the skunky smell in the studio which turned out to be a very large bag of weed I found in the space next to the mini fridge. Seriously feel like I should get a refund on this nightmare stay. Renters beware!
We rented this studio primarily because it was a pet friendly accommodation. It was pet friendly however the yard where the studio was located was not. There was a gap in the gate where any pet could sneak out to the street. There was no real yard per se to let the dogs do their business. The studio was located in an older Eagle Rock neighborhood. I felt safe walking my dogs in the area and the neighbors were friendly. The studio accommodations were very disappointing. I knew that the unit only had a trundle bed which wasn't a problem until I layed on the mattress. There was a mattress on top of another mattress (instead of a box spring) which made the mattress very soft and spongy and provided no support. My back ached for two nights. There was only a desktop oscillating heating fan to keep the studio warm. It was raining one night and very cold the next night. The heater did not keep the studio warm. To add insult to injury there was one light summer comforter and another light quilt. The studio was extremely small and not suitable for a couple. The description stated the studio was newly remodeled, however, the old single pain metal windows were not replaced and kept the unit cold. The front door was drafty and made of a hollow core interior door, I did not feel safe leaving any of my personal belongings inside the studio because of the door. The floor in the bathroom was comprised of a Pergo-like flooring. The floor was already buckling due to the fact that the shower curtain was not enough to keep the water out of the shower. There was not even a proper bathmat to soak up the water. The hot and cold water shower faucets were reversed (at first i though there was no hot water in the shower). Thankfully we were staying only two nights but even then that was two nights too many. What a big disappointment. I would not recommend this property unless it was priced at half the cost to stay there. Otherwise, pay extra and stay somewhere else. I will say the management was helpful when I was having problems with the key box code.
LA LA Land
Thank you! The process was so easy it's like it never happened. Looking forward to another stress free rental.
Enjoyed our stay, perfect spot/space for a couple or one person! Charlotte was nice to work with :)

Clean; convenient location; used it for sleeping only.
The studio is a clean place to stay, in a convenient part of town. Easy walking to coffee shops, pharmacies, and appealing small shops. But as a solo traveler, I probably will not choose it again. There is no view outside; windows are high, and let in light, but not a chance to be looking outside. I felt isolated being in the back yard of the property. Someone craving solitude might like that.
I stayed during a December week when temps outside dipped to mid-thirties at night. The heater worked, and the bedding was warm and comfy. But the walls and floor never lost their chill. I had to run water many minutes before it came out warm (guilt-producing in the current drought). Adding an instant-hot to one of the sinks would be a great improvement.
Customer service was very helpful, when I arrived to find no clean towels. I phoned, and she cheerfully agreed to bring over freshly laundered towels, which were waiting for me when I arrived back at the end of the day. Thank you!
If you stay here, don't miss Abby's Diner, nearby at corner of Eagle Rock Blvd. and Addison Way.
