3 bedroom cottage to sleep 6 (max 4 adults) in Pittenweem
About Adrienne Lumsden
We are a family of 6 who have lived all over the world. We're currently in the US for the next few years. I was raised in the area and South Gable is our home base where we return every summer to see family and friends.
Adrienne Lumsden purchased this Cottage in 2005
Why Adrienne Lumsden chose Anstruther
As soon as we climbed the staircase and saw the views, we were sold! The cottage is welcoming and cosy. As soon as we walk through the doors - we're home!
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
Perfect for our family of 5 weekend getaway to explore the East Neuk of Fife. Clean & welcoming with everything you would need.
Delightful in Pittenweem
Delightful home at the edge of the village (but very close to harbor). Very clean and functional but the shape of the house with windows on both sides (3 apiece) and the balcony window at the end of the gable lends a lot of natural light. All items modern and new. Great place.
Wonderful location, very nice property
Close to just about everything in Fife-- St. Andrews, the Secret Bunker, and a whole bunch of delightful people-- but far enough away from the hustle & bustle that relaxation is possible. This place is comfy and well equipped, with a beautiful view of the Firth.
The fact that we have just enjoyed our fourth visit to South Gable Cottage speaks volumes. We loved watching the stormy sea from the comfort of the lounge. I think Adrienne has been busy painting the cottage. It is looking very fresh & welcoming.
Absolutely LOVED this bright cozy beach cottage! Will be back!
We stayed in 5 different rental properties on this trip, and our family all agreed that THIS was the best! We had just visited the hustle and bustle of Edinburgh & Dublin, so when we arrived at Adrienne's beach house, we immediately fell in love with it. The town is quiet, with lots to explore. We followed the "coastal path" to the neighboring town of Anstruther, which was an easy 25 minute walk along the sea, also a cute town to wander about. There were several cute cafes (Clock Tower) that we enjoyed for lunch. Dinner and drinks at the local pubs. (Our most fun was talking with the locals! ) As for the beach house, it was bright and airy with the bedrooms on the first floor and the kitchen, dining and Living room were on the second.....so we had a fabulous view of the sea! Beds were comfortable, everything was modern and clean, and being on the end of the street, we didn't have to worry about the noise we made, while playing cards at night! Adrienne was excellent to communicate with, and she answers questions immediately. This is definitely a place/town I will recommend to everyone if they are coming to Scotland. Beautiful accommodations, adorable town, lovely townspeople. My only warning is.....make sure to find a place to eat before 8:30 pm. After that, only the drinks are flowing! We will definitely be back!
Return Visitor - Just as good as last time!
Returning to this property after a great stay last year. Lovely property in a beautiful part of the world. Well equipped, warm, family friendly. Thanks!
There is so much to see and do in this beautiful part of Scotland, you will be spoilt for choice during your holiday. The Fife Coastal Path is on the doorstep and two award-winning restaurants are within a 2 mile radius. The famous Pittenweem Arts Festival is held every August.
