Rawhide Ranch is a cozy, private Tahoe City vacation rental that you will definitely enjoy as your getaway home base. Nearby you have access to the Paige Meadows and Pacific Crest trails, Granlibakken Tahoe Resort, and inside is a lovely fireplace.
This single-level home's deck faces the forest of pines for a serene setting. Just inside are cushy couches in front of a wood-burning fireplace (can't you just picture the popping and crackling logs?), for cozy evenings in. Host a family movie night over the flatscreen TV or listen to tunes on the stereo. You'll also have WiFi.
The kitchen not only supplies the basics for a homemade meal, but even a waffle iron and coffee grinder, so you can enjoy a delightful breakfast in the large dining area beside huge windows.
With all of the bedrooms on one floor, everyone can easily head to bed after a long night conversing around the fireplace. In the master bedroom, you'll have a king-size bed with en suite bathroom. The two other rooms include a queen-size bed each. Plus, there’s a second bathroom, so a home full of six guests won't feel crowded.
Explore with a walk on the close by Paige Meadows Trail or even for a chance to explore a portion of the Pacific Crest Trail. Bring your bikes for a roll on the nearby paved bike trails that will lead you to Meeks Bay and Dollar Point. For winter skiing or summer outdoor activities (or a well-deserved spa visit), head over to Granlibakken Tahoe Resort, Squaw Valley, or Alpine Meadows.
Pack your vacation clothes and head out to this comfortable North Lake Tahoe lodge!

About Vacasa, CA - Lake Tahoe Office
Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Too many fees!
This was the perfect house for our family to enjoy Lake Tahoe. However, between the new VRBO fees and the fees from Vacasa we will not be renting this unit again. The fees charged essentially doubled the rental rate and for a 2 night rental, were simply outrageous. We own our own vacation rentals and rent other vacation properties several times a year and have never experienced such poor service from a rental agency. Vacasa stated they would contact us if early and/or late check-in would be available none of which they did! If we are paying the fees, we expect the service. It's too bad, we loved the house and the location!
We are very sorry to see this guest felt they did not receive our best service. We will follow-up on this reservation to see what we could have differently to have provided a better experience. Thank you!
Perfect cozy home for family holiday
We love this neighborhood! Steps away from the trailhead in the Pines, but it is the view off the back deck of the Pinetree‘s that had us at hello. Nice and cozy for our family, with all the accoutrements needed. We will be back!
Cozy and private for our family holiday
this was perfect for the three of us. Small and cozy with the best treehouse vista snuggled in the Pinetree‘s. Easy fireplace, everything provided, even heated blankets, and enjoyed the extensive CD collection to. Even fun family games to keep us entertained. Favorite neighborhood steps away from the forest trails. Bliss! Vacasa was also easy to work with including email portal and trip notifications. A quick phone call away at any time. Plus we love the close proximity to Tahoe city. Even walked in for breakfast one day. We will return!
Rawhide Ranch is a nice home, in a nice neighborhood. Enjoyed having a cup of coffee on the porch, as the view was toward the trees. Liked the bear fence - it obviously works well. Had everything we needed in the house, from paper products to kitchen appliances. I had an urge for some tea one afternoon, but couldn't find tea bags. I'll just bring my own next time, and leave them for the next guests to enjoy. Best place we have stayed at in north shore. House is conveniently located to great dining, entertainment and a short walk to hiking trails and the lake.
Quaint and Cute!
My husband and I stayed here with our 2 young children for a weekend. The home was well-kept and clean. The living quarters had everything you would want and the bathrooms had complimentary toiletries. The kitchen was completely stocked with all cooking tools and gadgets for whatever dish your heart desires. The patio was our favorite place to sit and enjoy the scenery and we were especially pleased that it was completely closed in with gates, making us feel comfortable letting our kids run around and play. For the price and location (a few miles from downtown) it was quite a steal!
Quaint and cute!
My family and I were staying in the area for The Great Trail Race. This house was the perfect size for all of us to live comfortably. The home is well-kept and we loved sitting on the deck. The kitchen had all cooking essentials and tools to make whatever we wanted! I would've given 5 stars, but the oven wasn't working properly (it was a very old appliance), forcing us to change our dinner plans.
