Quality spot, 50 yards from bus stop that takes you to 7/8 base. Can walk for 12 minutes even. Nothing AMAZING but nothing less than good. Enjoyed our experience!!

Reviewer Comments:

Overall, it was a good weekend but that was because of the people and not the property. They jacked up the price for NYE, which is expected, but didn't offer anything extra like late check out on the holiday. The hot tub hours are 12-8, so what's the point even? The place was pretty clean, the bathrooms could've been cleaner. Also, there was not even a cutting board in the kitchen and the knives were dull to the point of being dangerous. I think for the higher price, we expected a little more. I would put "maybe" for recommend this property to a friend if it were an option. It's in a good location and fit 6 comfortably, but it should be priced lower for the value - even for NYE.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the feedback Anna. New Years Eve is definitely the biggest weekend for us and the entire town of Breckenridge. They are generally the highest prices of the year. We have a dedicated marketing department that keep those prices competitive for the individual properties. I have sent out our inspecting team to replace the items that you recommended. We hope to see you again soon.

Reviewer Comments:

I have rented this unit three times, It is functional and well maintained. These units are older but for a group of skiers who just want good beds, hot water and basic functional appliances it works very well. It sleeps three adults well and is nicely located for bus stop proximity, and access to Peak 8 where I prefer to ski. For anyone looking for a good basic unit with nice light, views and access to amenities like the hot tubs this is a great unit.

AVOID! Privacy and security issues

  • 1 of 5

I would not recommend this condominium, any unit in the same HOA, or any unit that lists with Summit Mountain Rentals. In the rental contract upon reserving this unit, be careful of #16. “Entry of Premises: An authorized employee or repairman may enter the premises during customary business hours for any purpose connected with the repair, improvement, care, and management of property.” They can and will enter the unit. On our last day in Breckenridge, my wife decided not to ski and stay in the condo and relax. Around 11:00 AM, she heard a light knocking sound. Since we knew no one in Breckenridge, had not called for any assistance with the unit, and the property has no maid or linen service, my wife assumed it was someone at the neighboring unit, and ignored the knock. There was then a second louder knock and a key was unlocking our door. She hurried to the door and told the person entering our unit she was there, to stop unlocking the door and not to come in. The man told her he was checking on the unit for the owner, and then he left. Obviously, my wife was very terrified. Shortly after the incident, I called the rental company and spoke to David. He was very concerned of the situation. He told me he knew the condo superintendent well, he would never do anything like this, it should never happen and he would have the unit re-keyed. An hour later my wife received a call stating they were contacting a locksmith, and would call when this was complete. Shortly after, she received a 2nd call stating they were not re-keying the door. The man was someone from the HOA just checking the unit. So, then it was a non-issue for everyone except my family. Upon checkout, I was told the HOA representative has no idea when a unit is rented or occupied, and they need to come in the unit to check for things like leaky faucets.

I rented this unit for 5 nights. Every day we were on the slopes by 10, off by 4 and in bed by 10, so there was no reason to be suspicious of us. We did not call for a problem in the unit. There was no reason for anyone to be looking inside this unit during our stay.

Before renting, consider a few things:

• What would you, your spouse or teenager do if someone tried to unlock the door when alone in the unit?

• What if you were in the bathroom when the random inspection occurred?

• With 99% of the renters out of the unit from 9am-4pm, how often are these random visits done to a rented, unoccupied condo?

Reviewer Comments:

A good value for the price and location. Right by the free shuttle bus stop, only one stop from the base of 7 and 8. The locks need to be replaced, they're extremely difficult to manage. The furniture and overall feel of the condo is definitely dated and could use a face lift. The pillows are not good, highly recommend bringing your own. The towels were great and the kitchen was stocked with a wide array of cookware and utensils. They do need a spatula, though.

Reviewer Comments:

I have rented this unit before, I continue to do so because it is close to my preferred skiing, it is close to free transportation, the accommodations are adequate for my simple tastes and the beds are good. Summit Mtn Rentals is accessible, helpful and I know the drill. So for my needs this unit is perfect, reasonable priced, comfortable, located well and available.
