This place was in a nice location and the rate was reasonable. The unit was very outdated. The furniture, linens, pillows, towels etc. all could use an upgrade. The owner was very responsive and accommodating. A pleasure to rent from.
Great place to stay
Would recommend to anyone looking for a condo in the hidden valley area wonder location and condo.
Great condo! NIce stay!
My husband and I and our two kids visited Hidden Valley for a long weekend and had a nice time here! There was a small hiccup when we got there, but the owner was super fast to respond and fix the problem! This condo is in the perfect spot! The balcony overlooks the pond and the soothing sound of the fountains really makes the spot relaxing. We visited both pools while we were there and the kids had a blast! They also liked the Noah's Ark playground right by the condo! We would definitely come again!
My husband and I traveled from Pittsburgh for a change of scenery and some peace and quiet for a couple of days. The drive was pleasant, the unit was easy to find, and our stay was restful. I picked this unit specifically for the balcony view; I loved the posted picture and couldn't wait to sit and relax. I was not disappointed.
We appreciated the neat, clean, and updated condo; clear instructions for checking in and out (left on the kitchen counter); and easy-to-access WiFi (thank you!). The queen bed was very comfortable and the black-out blinds super. (I think I'm going to look into buying some for my own home!). We took a peak in the loft, which was set-up nicely with a bed, dresser, TV, and small couch, but had no reason to use it since it was just the two of us. It seemed perfect for kids.
When I made the reservation, I didn't realize that the condo was not air-conditioned; I just didn't think of it. When another reviewer mentioned this, I was mildly concerned since our visit was in July, but the heat was not a problem. The ceiling fan in the living room worked wonderfully, and while the bedroom was a little bit warm at night even with the portable fan, we were fine.
The resort pool is close by and life guarded. Though we didn't use it, the water looked inviting: crystal clean. During our brief stay, we walked on the path around the water behind the condo; hiked the trail through Hidden Valley Resort; toured Fallingwater; started to put together the souvenir puzzle we bought at Fallingwater; ate pizza from the Rustic Mountain shop (menu on the TV stand); lunched outside at Slopeside in Seven Springs; and, of course, read books on that blissful balcony. In the evenings, we heard from the bullfrog, who we, of course, named Jeremiah. :)
The owner, Richard, was easy to contact and quick to reply. It was a breezy transaction and a perfect getaway. We got what we wanted: more room than a hotel along with some private, picturesque outdoor space. Lucky us!
Cozy, quiet condo
We needed a weekend spot for four adults and this worked out fine. Very close to state parks and other attractions. The owner was pleasant and easy to deal with. The condo is not large, but space is used well. It was quite clean. The loft area was nice for my daughter but would have been a bit precarious for elderly people or children. No air conditioning which was a bit surprising, but there were several fans. We loved the balcony with the view of the pond. Lots of pans and dishes in the kitchen but it could use more utensils. Overall, a good option at a relatively reasonable price.
Great for a Ski Weekend!
We had a fantastic long holiday (Valentine's and Presidents' Day!) weekend. Lots of snow and great ski conditions, albeit VERY COLD (-2, but we were ready for that!) This condo has a great location. You can walk to the slopes to start your day and then return on the Sunrise/Sunset lift. There's even a ski rack available to stow your skis when you want take a break.
We are a family of 5 and found this condo to be just enough space for us.
All three kids loved the loft and decided to bunk together up there.
The kitchen is very well appointed, although, no crock pot
Cabinet space is limited, so I stowed some cookware on top, so I could store the food we brought.
Speaking of bringing food - you pass the MOO ECHO DAIRY on your way in and I highly suggest you get your milk, eggs, cheese, (etc.) there!
The kitchen was also better supplied than I expected. There was dish and dishwasher detergent (no dish drainer), trash bags and PLENTY OF COFFEE FILTERS... for now, at least!!
The wood burning stove kept the whole unit very warm and cozy! There is a community firewood stack just steps from the front door. There's an instruction card detailing how to use the wood stove, but it does not mention that the automatic blower does not seem to be functioning properly. It was unplugged when we arrived and does not automatically shut off when the fire has died out, and continues to blow cool/cold air. It must be unplugged to stop it from blowing. A can for ashes and fireplace mitt would also be helpful.
My kids also loved the streaming TV in the living room and their own TV with a DVD player in the loft! We also enjoyed playing the Harry Potter board game!
The owner was very generous and flexible and responded quickly when I messaged him.
I would definitely come back, as well as recommend this to family and/or friends! I would be interested to see what it is like in other seasons!!
