A fully renovated farmhouse located in the tiny hamlet of Fulks Run. Here we live among the mountains and enjoy nature and fresh breezes.
The farmhouse was built in 1937 and was the original dwelling to the farmland surrounding it. We have enjoyed renovating this gem and love the character that it has. The farmhouse has a fully stocked kitchen with up to date appliances. Enjoy eating around the farm table with family and friends or head outside to the patio area where fresh air always adds a special touch to any event.
The linens are provided at this farmhouse with everything from sheets and towels to a tablecloth for the pinic table.
This rental is located approximately 15 minutes from I-81 along a main road Rt. 259. We are 5 minutes from local gas stations and 10 minutes to a super market. So while you are immersed in the country life we are close to small towns with conviences. There are also a few restaurants in the event that a cookout isnt in the plans. Or if you want fine dining make the 30 minute drive to the city of Harrisonburg for a vast variety of restaurants that should cover any palate.
Local attractions are; hiking, caverns, skiing, orchards, vineyards or exploring our national parks are a few things to enjoy in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley.
Since the farmhouse is nestled in the mountains we do have trouble with cell service. We do have a wifi hotspot that helps but still leaves you somewhat unplugged. Sprint and the carriers that use thier towers are the only ones with service.
One thing that we do not have is a tv.
We look forward to each of our guest and we are available for any questions that you may have.
