Welcome to Stonecrest!!

This one-of-a-kind, luxury cabin is located in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains; half-way between Hiawassee and Helen, GA in the beautiful Soapstone community. Soapstone offers fishing ponds, a trout stream, basketball court, playground for the children and borders the National Forest at the top of ridge. Located at end of the road, Stonecrest offers an abundance of privacy, peace and tranquility.

This high-end furnished cabin is within minutes of Lake Chatuge (7 miles), which offers fantastic fishing and boating; Brasstown Bald (highest peak in Georgia); and the Appalachian Trail. Close to restaurants, shops and the marina; all this and less than two hours from Atlanta!!

True to its name, Stonecrest has two massive floor-to-ceiling indoor stone fireplaces, with an enormous third wood burning fireplace as part of the gorgeous outdoor kitchen; all this surrounded by mountain views.

The first/entry level has an upscale kitchen with granite countertops and Bosch stainless steel appliances, and cathedral ceilings in great room/dinning area. The huge master suite with cathedral ceiling has its own private bath with a Jacuzzi tub, separate shower, dual sinks, elegant window coverings and high-end linens on the king bed. Also located on this level is a ½ bath and laundry room.

Relax on the large screen porch off the great room which offers stunning mountain views that can be taken in from the large outdoor dining table, lounge furniture, and rustic cabin seating.

The lower level offers two large bedrooms (king and queen beds) with walk-in closets, mountain views and a huge stone shower in the shared bathroom. The lower level also has a covered porch with rocking chairs, small breakfast table, and walk out to the flagstone patio with fireplace.

Other amenities include: fully-stocked kitchen, three flat screen TVs, DVD player, games, front loader W/D and lush native landscape.

Perfect for families, couples or a romantic mountain getaway for two, Stonecrest offers all its guests a truly unique mountain experience.

Beautiful cabin and views!

  • 5 of 5

Clean, comfortable and of course - the views! This cabin was perfect for our family summer getaway. We truly got what we wanted: a mountain vacation with stunning views and easy access to the local area’s many breathtaking sights. The cabin was spacious and beautifully decorated. The owner was very easy to communicate with and extremely accommodating. While I loved sitting on the porch watching my younger kids play, my husband and oldest son loved fishing in the community’s stream and pond. We can’t wait to return!

Nice vacation get away!

  • 5 of 5

The house is very comfortable with nice appliances and furnishings. It was clean and well appointed. The bedrooms are large with large closets and 2 very nice full bathrooms. This is a great good weather home. The lower level leads to a wonderful fireplace/outdoor kitchen area that you will love to spend time. Access to Helen and Hiawassee was fairly easy, as the house is almost central to both towns. Please make sure you get clear directions as we could not locate the house via Google Maps and the climb to the house is fairly steep and curvy but was no problem for our car.
