About Brian Boruff
I grew up in Knoxville and have always vacationed in the Great Smoky Mountains. I purchased this home as my private residence and lived here for several years before moving to Charleston. Ball Mountain Luxury Lodge is being offered selectively to guests who are looking for an exclusive high-end Honka Log Home to vacation and relax in.
Brian Boruff purchased this Lodge in 2012
Why Brian Boruff chose Gatlinburg
I spent years looking for a lodge that is very private and exclusive. Ball Mountain Luxury Lodge is nestled on a knoll on the South end of a 20-acre mountain estate. The front and back yards are fenced-in with room in the back to play yard games and enjoy the spectacular mountain views.
What makes this Lodge unique
This lodge is private and secluded. Most properties in Gatlinburg are in crowded developments where the cabins and right next to each other. This is not the case with Ball Mountain Luxury Lodge.

This was my first trip to the Smokey Mountains and what a great place for a vacation with your family or friends, there is something to do for everyone or just sit back and relax. Having said that, staying in this cabin was great, the cabin has all the amenities and there is so much to this residence that I didn't have the time in just one week to take it all in. I may need to return :) with the family for a second visit. The mountain is nice and the views are amazing. Thanks for letting us stay!!
The cabin is beautiful! When we first arrived the temperature in the cabin was 87. It was very uncomfortable. Trying to bring in luggage and settle in with that temperature is not accommodating. The view is breathtaking! We loved it for the most part! There was a couple of things that was broken and a lot of dust. The sink in downstairs bathroom leaked. We had to turn the water off at valve. Over all the cabin is beautiful, the view amazing and we got to spend time with our family. I call that a success! I gave 3 stars because of the temperature in cabin on arrival and also it kept defaulting to a temperature that was not comfortable for our crew. Just seemed to have needed to be maintained a little more. BEAUTIFUL PLACE!
The Home Is Perfect
We stayed at this cabin the last week in March. The cabin was perfect for our large group. Everyone had their own space. We were also able to bring our dogs, which was a huge plus because ours are elderly and leaving them behind is not an option for us. The view is amazing. Unlike the resort cabins in Gatlinburg, this cabin is totally private and had plenty of grass for the dogs to roam. Although we didn't use it much, the kitchen was exceptional. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very comfortable. The info we had, did not indicate that there was an actual bed in the basement. We were prepared to use an air mattress. So that was a pleasant surprise. We were a little early in the spring for the buds to open. I'd love to go back sometime later in the spring or summer to see everything in full bloom. We did have wild turkey visitors which was an interesting surprise. The cabin is very nice and I would highly recommend it. Dana Craig
We loved it! So much room and well maintained!
Our stay was very relaxing in such beautiful home. There were 4 couples and it was a pleasure having so much room! Everything was well kept and well appointed! We had a wonderful time! Thank you to all involved in making our stay a pleasure
Amazing view and very cozy comfortable!
This has been one of our best trips to Gatlingburg yet! The cabin had amazing views and you wake up to the sunrise from the main bedroom which was my favorite part about the cabin and how homey the atmosphere is. When we saw the 20 acres of land advertised we thought we would be able to hike with our dogs but I think the extra acres are more for view purposes so no one builds under the cabin because the slope goes straight down. Overall this is an amazing cabin for a large family that isn’t two far from all the towns.
This was a magical time for our family!!!!
Everything about the lodge was truly wonderful. The lodge was extremely clean and literally had everything we needed, pots and pans, silverware, linens, and appliances. It was well planned out. With all our children and grandchildren were there and I mentioned earlier it was truly a magical time for all. We were comfortable and we drank and ate and laughed a lot. Thank you for letting us stay at the lodge and we hope to return again next year. Can't say enough about the weather and the view from the deck. Merry Christmas to you and your family and have a Blessed New Year. The lodge was so warm and inviting.
