Great house on the best part of Megunticook Lake
We spent a week at the house the first week of August. The house is located on one of the quieter sections of the lake so the boat traffic is limited and the loons are frequently out fishing. The houses in this section are more spread apart than in other parts of the lake which is nice. The shoreline and dock are both great for swimming (no marshy stuff). We rented a kayak and stand up paddleboard from Maine Sport which were great for exploring the lake. The house is lovely and functional with a large kitchen and living space and the view of the lake and the Megunticook Mountains is just fantastic, particularly from the porch and dock. The deck is large with a nice table for outdoor dining. We would certainly return to this house again.
Very nice and quiet
Beautiful spot on a beautiful lake
We found the camp easily and were delighted when we arrived. The location is beautiful and secluded and the camp comfortable and very well equipped. We especially appreciated the large and comfortable beds and great cooking equipment. The dock is just a few steps from the house and our children had to be dragged away at the end of the week, having spent most days there. The lake was surprisingly warm even when the air temperature wasn't. The town of Camden is easily accessible and has some lovely places to dine and a great variety of shops. We had a wonderful week here and would love to return.
We have a special connection to Camden and would recommend this camp to anyone who wants comfort and special experience!
Fantastic Megunticook Lake camp
This camp on Megunticook Lake is great. It is exactly what my family was looking for in a summer Maine Lake vacation. The cabin is very well equipped for vacation, and the location on the lake is superb. We will definitely be returning next summer.
Beautiful spot, beautiful camp.
