CALL FOR AVAILABILITY--- 205-657-7239. 3 BR, 1 BA newly renovated guest house with carport and porch. The Bama Bear Den is close to the UA and is located adjacent to PAUL "BEAR" BRYANT"S home in the 60's and early 70's.

Bama Bear Den is located in a quite neighborhood in a secluded cul-de-sac close to the University of Alabama (less than 4 miles) and all shopping needs. This three bedroom, one bath guest house sleeps 8 guests. Master bedroom has a king size bed along with a 48" high definition flat screen TV. Guest bedroom has a queen size bed with a pillowtop mattress . The unit also has a double bed in the den. There is a regular size bed located off of the bedroom . There is a 60"' high definition flat screen TV in the den. It has a fully equipped kitchen with eating area with table that seats up to six people and a breakfast bar that seats 2.

The bathroom has complimentary soap, blow dryer, toiletries and linens for your use along with a washer and dryer. DVD player and free WI-FI for your enjoyment. Outside of quarters is a covered front porch, plenty of seating, & BBQ grill. Plenty of parking available.

We are located 1.5 miles to Game Day Shuttle Stop located at The University Mall. Free Parking at the University Mall. Shuttle runs from mall parking lot to the south end zone of Bryant Denny Stadium.

This Game Day rental has been recently renovated and offered for the first time for the 2015 Alabama football season. Rental property also available throughout the year.

A diamond in the rough...

How to begin,

Let’s start with just driving up to the property.

The home is impressive. The tall, winding driveway to the top of the hill. It had me rereading my directions. I could not be at the right place. I was.

The carport you have at your disposal is just the start.

As you come through the door, you are immediately taken aback. The furniture and amenities in the home are astounding.

If you are an Alabama fan. This is the place for you. The fan fare and history are abound. The house is charming and exquisite. The owners are so polite and accommodating. I would stay here again and again as I come back yearly for work.

This is five star. This is the unicorn of VRBO.

This property was perfect. It was more comfortable and maintained better than a hotel. We loved it.

The Bama Den #2 is in a quiet location. The parking is perfect for two vehicles. The home had everything we needed and we felt right at home throughout our stay. We will be referring ALL of our friends and family to the Bama Den when they visit Tuscaloosa. It's a home away from home.

Immaculately clean, well stocked, spacious, convenient to campus but at a distance from the hubbub. I would definitely stay here again.

Disappointed

I've never left a bad review before but felt I needed to for this property. First the good things,

Lots of room, comfy beds, coffee nook, plenty of towels, toiletries and a washer & dryer. Located on a quiet cul-de-sac. This property would be great for a group of people wanting to party.

The "not so good". There are "taped notes" on doors, in kitchen, bathroom, etc. with instructions on what "not to do". The property could use updating. We woke up on day 3 and had no water (they were working on the main house and shut it off), it would have been nice if we were informed in advance. I was told it was an emergency that happened on Friday (they shut the water off to do the work on Thursday of the next week). There was a cockroach in the kitchen. When I informed the owner she told me it was because the house was in the woods and it was a "wood roach"...? I live in the woods and don't have "wood roaches". So, while there are explanations for the problems and apologies, she never offered any form of compensation other than "how & why" it happened. I use VRBO whenever I travel, and this is the ONLY time I have ever left a bad review. Would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a well kept, clean property.

Owner's Response: I am truly sorry that you was disappointed during your stay at "Bama Bear Den". I have been in the rental business for 7 years and this is my first negative review. On Friday I had part of my sewer line to collapse, the plumbing company cut the water off from around 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., to replace the sewer lines, No car was at the house so I assumed no one was at home , as our water lines are connected. I have a pest control company spray all of my properties monthly, the picture of the dead bug sent to me showed the pest control company is doing their job . My property is located next to the woods and the picture of the dead bug sent to me after check out was an outside bug. I take as much pride in my rental properties as I do my own home. Unfortunately, as with your own home, things arise outside our control. I feel my previous reviews speaks volumes of my property.
