Nice crash pad

  • 4 of 5

Overall the place was perfectly adequate. Not really luxurious, but the layout is good and the place is clean and well maintained. The bed was super-comfortable. A few negatives were that the men's sauna was out of order, and that there were intermittent loud bangs, which I think were some sort of heavy door being slammed nearby. The location is ideal, right downtown and easy to catch the various free buses that run all over town.

Well appointed little lower level 1 bedroom in a great location

  • 4 of 5

It took us a while to figure out that the unit number was not on the second floor but instead in the basement with weird exterior access from the north side of the building unlike the rest of the units, the map was not clear. We later found that it was earlier to access the second door through the basement. A little instruction would have helped. Lower level means no view out the half height window in each of the living area and bedroom, but pleanty of light comes in and the unit really needs drapes in the bedroom if you want to sleep past 6:30. The unit is dubbed the "snow cave" but it didn't feel like a basement other than it was located next to the boiler room for the building and there was a loud banging like the pipes were expanding every 30 minutes. Bed was comfy with memory foam Matress, pull out couch was ok for my son. Nicely appointed modern finished unit with lots of utensils and appliances etc. although weirdly there was only a small frying pan and they need to add a large one. Lots of spices and condiments was appreciated for the cooking we did. Unit was clean, fine for two people. Best of all was the location, carried our skis about two blocks to quick silver lift. 1/4 block from grocery/liquor store. Top of Main Street makes walking down Main Street convenient. Recommend Embers restaurant one block north for an excellent meal ($125 for two with wine). Not sure if this is the only 1 bedroom unit in the building available, but would definitely stay again for two people. Kitchen and bathroom faucets were slightly loose and could use a little tightening, other than that the unit seemed well maintained and seemed like it had been renovated or refinished in the last few years.

The property management staff were extemely accommodating to my husband and myself. They were very willing to bring a recliner into our unit . We were having problems with the altitude at night. We would recommend Tannhauset to our friends and you can not beat the location. We had a grand time

The Tannhauser condos location can't be beat. This 1BR unit is especially cool with it's dual entrances - private outdoor entrance and indoor access to the lobby/laundry. The unit was spacious and comfortable, a true 1 bedroom. Staff was freidnly and helpful. Would love to stay here again next time.
