This charming three bedroom two bath home is situated in an environmentally friendly community surrounded by a forest. Just minutes from a number of pristine beaches (all beaches in Oregon are public), the working port, the aquarium, and historic Nye beach - this home is perfectly situated. A quick drive to a number of small coast towns, wine country, and one hour from Corvallis, Newport is easy to get to. Our home is a part of an Eco-friendly community called Wilder - park a block away and walk into a circle of brightly colored single family homes. A dog park, frisbee golf course, playground, and extensive trails surround our home. An eagle's nest is behind our home. Easy access to the award winning farm (or ocean) to table eateries. This one story home is our second home and is child friendly. The house was built in 2013 and all appliances are new. We have a tv, wifi, and cable is also available if you need it.

Grateful for a "home" , not just a room.
Nice, newer home with great wood work, and a real kitchen in a quiet
Affordable and relaxing
This is a pleasant home within minutes of everything that you might want on the coast. Very clean and bright. It is compact, yet large enough that small children can sleep at one end of the house while adults socialize in the front room without anyone having to tiptoe around. Our kids loved the playground, and we found the proximity to the beach, Newport, and the aquarium to be just what we were looking for.
Wonderful, clean, new home out of the tsumami hazard zone!!! What more could you want! Short drive to beaches/restaurants/aquarium, nice quiet neighborhood with a park and nature trails. The house does not have TV or Internet, which did not bother us at all but I feel like people should know that in advance. Great rental house!
Glad you liked it - we have a TV and wifi (included) at the house now.
Great vacation home
Our family had a great time in Newport; playing on the beach, visiting science museum, renting fishing charter and more.
The rental home was perfect. It had everything we needed and the owner was thoughtful and easy to work with.
Clean, quiet, good place to escape
Nice size and layout for a small family, much bigger than I expected. It's a new house and everything is in excellent condition. Appliances are all new. No funky smells, no stains, nothing broken, etc, at all. Sharp knives in the kitchen too (this may be a first ;).
There is still some construction in the neighborhood but no activity on the weekend we visited. It was surprisingly quiet. We barely noticed any of the neighbors.
Good location. Technically you could ride a bike to the beach or downtown if you are ok with riding on 101 (it's only a few miles away). I would not recommend doing this with kids.
The description and photos are accurate, and the owner was easy to get ahold of and responds quickly. 5/5 would recommend.
Newport has something for everyone - historic port and lighthouses to award winning dining and beaches. The Newport Symphony and many other cultural events come to the theater. Whale watching and many opportunities for natural tourism abound.
