Our home is in the Ellwood Bluffs area of Goleta in Santa Barbara. It's just down the street from the famous Ellwood monarch overwintering area, the bluffs (great for walks, runs and bike rides), and the beach. It's about a mile to grocery stores, restaurants, etc. and about 3 miles to UCSB. We're in a quiet, family neighborhood. Our kitchen is spacious with a butcher block island - convenient for cooking. There is a Weber BBQ located just outside the back kitchen door. The dining room table can expand to seat 10 or you can dine outside on the the backyard patio. Our unique lawn is hypoallergenic (no seeds) and drought tolerant so it stays lush green in the spring/summer, even with the drought! The back patio is perfect for relaxing in the sun (or under the shade of the umbrella) and the hot tub is ready for you to enjoy (seats 6). We also have a mini-park for the little ones in our backyard complete with a custom built playhouse with rooftop deck, sandbox, swings and a slide. Our boys (4 and 6) have lots of books and toys for your kids to enjoy. We're in the process of redecorating the living room area but it's ready for use with an updated fireplace ready for a cozy fire. There are 3 bedrooms including: a large master with king-size bed and 2 smaller rooms with twin bunk beds in one and another with a daybed and a trundle underneath. The bathroom has a shower/tub and is located at the end of the hallway with the bedrooms. There is a laundry room off of the kitchen.
There is a 4th bedroom (and another bathroom) attached to the house that we've converted into a self-contained studio. It's attached to the house but there is no entrance from the studio to the house and is a separate living space (not for rent). Our long-term tenant is very quiet and keeps to himself but he's available to help in case there's a problem with the house. The driveway easily fits up to 3 cars and we require that all vehicles you bring park off-street in the driveway.
This is our home. We enjoy opening it up to others when we are out of town. It has the conveniences and comforts you might expect in a family home and does not have the "feel" of a hotel stay. Please let me know if you have any questions about what we have to offer.
