About Barb O'Neill
We are Marquette natives we lived away while my husband was in the US Navy during the Vietnam Era, stationed on the USS Kitty Hawk. My husband is a retired carpenter and I retired from the City of Marquette along with owning my own business, Embroidery Wearhouse. Our Morgan Street Vacation Rental was established in 2014, we've been at this for awhile. We enjoy sharing Morgan Street and we hope you enjoy it and your stay in Marquette. We love Marquette, it's a great place. We are the proud parents of three daughters and two granddaughters. Our plan is to travel to Europe and here in the US.
Barb O'Neill purchased this Apartment in 1989
Why Barb O'Neill chose Marquette
This home previously belonged to our grandparents. The home has been in the family since 1923. We purchased it in 1989 and lived in it while we built our house. The central location is convenient yet offers privacy within the City of Marquette. We generally walk to restaurants, bars, the Food Co-op, Lake Superior and Mattson Park. Mattson Park is where most of the festivals are held, it's easier to walk from the house then try to find a parking spot. Park Cemetery is located just to the north of the home, access is available straight up the hill, past the American Legion. This is a cemetery but it's also a park. Beautiful trees, ponds, ski trail and monuments, it's a peaceful place to take a walk, or a bike ride.
What makes this Apartment unique
The central location offers privacy yet you are still close to restaurants, bars and events. We love Marquette and all it has to offer, it's a relatively safe and friendly city.
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
Planning on Returning
This property exceeded our expectation. It was a beautiful house in an excellent location. We will highly recommend this place to anyone.
Great stay near downtown
Very nice and extremely clean property with friendly hosts and in quiet part of town. Pleasant short walk to downtown and near the food co-op, which we frequented. We would not hesitate to stay here again.
Great place to stay
We have stayed here many times, and it never disappoints. The property is clean and there are many thoughtful touches. We love the location.
Clean, comfy and convenient.
Perfect option for us instead of a hotel room. It was just the two of us this weekend and this property had everything we needed. Recently remodeled and everything was very nice. Close to restaurants, blackrocks, bike trails, convenient parking. Not overly spacious, but we wouldn’t hesitate staying here with our kids (the couch turns into a bed). Second time staying with these owners and won’t be our last.
Just a few blocks from downtown Marquette, this is a wonderful place to stay for two. We were impressed by the attention to quality and good taste in the furnishings and design. We will try to book again if/when we come back to Marquette.
Great place to stay in Marquette
My wife and I rented this property for a long weekend in the city, it was exactly as described and was within walking distance of the downtown area. This was a great space that was clean, well appointed and comfortable. We would definitely rent again if we come back to visit.

Convenient central location.
