About the property

Level access, wet rooms, "wheel under" hob & sink, level access. Peace & quiet

“The service, courtesy and hospitality provided by all involved during our holiday was exceptional – Thank-you. It’s always a gamble when you book something via the Internet, however this one paid off and we look forward to our next holiday with you.” Chris B

Modern wheelchair friendly design villa with large pool, exclusive location close to the beach. Walking distance to local bars and restaurants within Polis itself. Car Hire not essential.

This contemporary fully wheelchair accessible bungalow is situated in a quiet cul de sac amongst a cluster of exclusive villas, near the sea in Polis. The owner is a wheelchair user herself, and has designed it carefully providing level access all round the property. It is spacious and on one level, and has been finished to a high standard using local stone, quality ceramic tiles, granite and wood. The large private pool and rear garden enjoy all day sunshine, and there are lovely views in this area. The beautiful garden has been fenced for privacy, and features lemon and orange trees which bear fruit and fill the air with scent from the flowers, and there is a herb garden too.

A leisurely evening stroll into the sleepy traditional village of Polis finds you greeted by a wealth of Cypriot tavernas, restaurants and bars.

The sandy beach is approx 10 - 15 mins walk and there is a regular bus service from Polis to Paphos and Coral Bay. Latchi harbour and sandy beach is 7 minutes drive, or we highly recommend the short cut on the promenade from Polis Camping beach, next to the sea, all the way to Latchi.

Although Polis is classed as a town, it has a “village” feel to it and has many attractive renovated properties. To give you an idea of its size, you could walk through Polis in 15 minutes. It offers an excellent selection of shops, restaurants, bars, banks etc. and is still extremely “Cypriot”, with most restaurants and shops being run by the family. Cheaper to eat out here than in Paphos, and the restaurants are all in hot competition to serve you the best food and give the friendliest service. On the way in to Polis town, Elena’s is the closest bar (approx 10 mins stroll), and is a lovely spot for a pre dinner drink whilst watching the sun set over your villa. Then a little further up the lane you come to Karouzis taverna where they serve a good meze and seafood. 2 local gems.

The Akamas National Park is nearby, and offers beautiful countryside and uncrowded beaches, all protected from development. These include sandy Lara Bay, where the turtles nest, and Chrysochou Bay, which offers mile after mile of quiet beaches alongside citrus groves, with a dramatic backdrop of hills.

All on one level downstairs:

Open plan living/dining/kitchen area with feature fireplace. The lounge area comprises two red leather sofas (one of which pulls out to be a double sofa bed). Dining area features large glass table with modern comfortable seating. Satellite TV, DVD and a separate CD player.

The fully equipped open plan kitchen has a lower height hob with access underneath for a wheelchair user and the sink is at normal height but also has wheel under access.

There are three good-sized bedrooms, two doubles and a twin, all with high quality beds, orthopaedic mattresses. The master bedroom has a large en-suite wheel-in shower room with wall mounted shower seat, wheel under sink area and grab rails. The further two bedrooms share a second wet room with shower, sink and toilet. There are flyscreens throughout.

Outside: Large private pool with wide Roman steps and 2 sturdy hand rails .New Pool Hoist. BBQ. Large terrace with patio furniture for al fresco meals. Level access/ramps all round the property and wider patio doors leading from the living area onto the terrace. Private parking. The carport has ramped access to the back door and there is a sloping entrance to the front of the villa.

Hi Irene,

We've had such a wonderful holiday in villa Timily. We couldn't believe how beautiful the villa was and the pool was fabulous, the boys loved every minute in there!!

Polis & Latchi are wonderful places, everyone was really friendly. Luke had a go on the sea trac chair on Polis Camping Beach and loved being able to get in the sea easily.

Thank You for arranging our stay in villa Timily! We hope to visit again soon!

Hi Irene & Lauren

We’re just back from our three weeks stay at Villa Timily in Polis, Cyprus, and we’ve had an absolutely brilliant time. This holiday was to celebrate Dave’s retirement, it was all about rest and relaxation, plus a little walking, swimming, reading and the occasional meal out, each to do as and when we’ve wanted to, no rush, it’s been wonderful.

Villa Timily was perfect it was light and airy, very comfortable and really well presented. Everything we could possibly need was to hand even including some very comfy towelling flip flops, which were nice to put on after a shower. The beach towels were a lovely touch as well and definitely saved space in our cases, we couldn’t have asked for more. The library drawer was brilliant too, although we each had taken a couple of books, I ended up reading six in total and Dave four because there was such a good choice, another nice touch. We’ve enjoyed the pool as well as our little jaunts to the beach.

Lee our house manager was superb, on the odd occasions we needed to contact him he was on hand to deal with our queries/problems. We had an incident with the umbrella on the patio in the very early hours of one morning during a lightning storm, (we only had two storms don’t worry). The wind was extremely strong so we decided to risk life and limb and go and put it down, quite scantily clad I have to say because of the urgency!!! However, although we tried, we just couldn’t get it down, not sure whether that was from laughing or fear!!! As part of the cover had come off anyway, we decided the best course of action was to take it off altogether, one chair had blown off the patio already and we had visions of the table and umbrella following in its wake!!! I contacted Lee at a more reasonable hour later that day and he came round straight away. The umbrella had actually jammed, that’s why we couldn’t get it down, and it wasn’t for want of trying. As it was torn due to wear and tear over the months, he took it away to do a touch of needlework!!! (Actually it was his mum in law doing the needlework). Chris our bubbly cleaner was great as well, we got on famously. Put it this way she would make the sun shine even if it wasn’t, a great asset to Lee’s team. It was really nice getting to know them both during our stay.

Just as you said, it was a nice five minute stroll to our nearest taverna, ‘Karouzi’s, which actually became our favourite because of the lovely atmosphere, their friendliness and excellent food.

It took us about 10 – 15 minutes to walk to the beach, as we chose to take the road rather than go through the campsite. The walk into Latchi via the new walkway, which is very impressive we have to say, took us about 30 minutes as we stopped a couple of times to admire the view and have a well needed gallon of water, it kept leaking out!!!! However, as the weeks went on and it got hotter, we finally succumbed to getting a taxi back with Nissos rather than do the return journey on foot. Apart from our flight transfers we used Nissos a few times during the course of our stay and were very impressed with their quick and efficient service. Their drivers were very smartly dressed and very friendly indeed we had some lovely conversations with each of them on our journeys.

Just out of interest one evening we had a walk round to the other villas near the beach just to see what they were like, especially as we nearly booked one. Although they looked ok, from the outside and had lovely views of the sea and sunset, we had a feeling they weren‘t as high spec as Villa Timily, so were really glad that we’d opted for Villa Timily in the end, with your guidance of course, thank you for that. It would have meant a much longer walk up to the supermarket as well. Talking of which, Chris’s was really friendly with the added bonus that Kyrios Chris kindly delivered our shopping on the back of his moped for us. We would set off back and he would follow after five minutes, it was great.

All in all we’ve had a fantastic time at Villa Timily and met some really nice people as well and didn’t really want to leave, especially when we landed in the cold and rain at Manchester yesterday evening. We nearly turned around and came back!!! Alas, all good things must come to an end, but hopefully and finances willing we will be back in the not to distant future.

Thank you once again,

Kind regards

Janice & Dave Morris

We had a lovely holiday.

The villa suited our needs very well. The wet room was a good size as were all the other rooms. The starter pack was very helpful too.

...The villa was perfect for my dad - he found it very easy to get about in his wheelchair, so much so he esp

Villa Timily - A perfect home from home

  • 5 of 5

Just back from our three week stay at Villa Timily celebrating my husbands retirement, where we've had an absolutely brilliant time. This holiday was all about rest and relaxation, plus a little walking, swimming, reading and the occasional meal out, each to do as and when we wanted to, no rush, it's been wonderful.

Villa Timily was perfect, it was light and airy, very comfortable and really well presented. Everything we could possibly need was to hand. The beach towels were a lovely touch and definitely saved space in our cases and the library drawer was brilliant too, with a good choice of books.

It was a leisurely five minute stroll to our nearest and favourite taverna, Karouzi's as Irene said, and a ten to fifteen minute walk to the beach depending on whether you took the shortcut through the campsite or the road. The walk into Latchi along the new walkway took us around half an hour, but what a view.

Lee our house manager and Chris our bubbly cleaner were excellent, nothing was too much trouble for them. We used Chris's supermarket recommended by Irene which was about a ten minute walk away. Kryos Chris very kindly delivered our shopping to the door, he would tell us to set off back and he would follow on his moped after five minutes, it was great. Nissos Taxi's also deserve a mention as well, who we used for our airport transfers. We chose not to hire a car as we wanted a total break from everything, and instead used their very efficient and really friendly service for the odd journery or two. It was eight euro's from Polis to Latchi and vice versa. As the weeks went on it got a bit too hot to walk both ways to and from Latchi although it is a lovely walk. Don't forget your water and hat and sunscreen though.

This was our sixth visit to the Polis/Latchi area, Polis still retains its charm and tradtion where Latchi has expanded somewhat since our last visit a few years ago, the new marina is quite impressive now its nearing completion.

All in all we've had a fantastic time at Villa Timily, we're full of sunshine, and feel totally rested and relaxed, just what we needed. We've also met and got to know some lovely people during our stay. Alas, all good things must come to an end and the fourth of July has finally arrived and we'll soon be heading back to the not so sunny Manchester, so we've heard. We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we have, you won't be disappointed we can assure you.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for taking the time to give such a detailed and interesting review. I can just picture Chris on his moped with your shopping. The owners of the small supermarkets really appreciate the business, and it does not get more personal than this! The new walkway next to the beach that you mention is great for buggies, wheelchairs, joggers, walkers, everyone, and it makes it So Easy to get to Latchi. To anyone who has not been to Polis, I think of it as a large village, it has so much character, and is ideal for couples and families. I will pass the feedback to Nissos taxis, they offer a professional service to our clients. Irene

Peaceful, relaxing and accessible!

Lovely late break in early November, great weather during the day (bit chillier at night). Villa Timily was excellent for my dad in his wheels - lots of space, easy to get about - he wanted to take it all home!

Would definitely recommend a holiday here whether you have limited mobility or not. Paphos restaurant owners were very friendly and accommodating. CY Breeze provided an excellent car hire service.
