Had a great time
First time user of VRBO so didn't know what to expect. Overall...OK.
As a frequent hotel user, and an occasional time share user, I wasn't sure what to expect. Maybe deep down I expected too much. But overall, it was about the experience with friends and family, and the location.
It had practically everything that you would need, but lacked attention to detail.
From the get go, communication was lacking. Again, I was a first time user and not aware of the process. The front door code was broke so they left 2 sets of keys. Not enough for a group of 7 people. No visible attempt to fix while we were there. Multiple light bulbs were either not working, mis-matched or very dim. One circuit breaker repeatedly tripped when people were using bathrooms. Bathrooms do not look like part of original floor plan. Poor layout converting one bath into two. Inadequate outlets in my bedroom. There was a bedside lamp and an outlet built into the nightstand, but neither plugged in as there was no nearby outlet. A pair of little boy's underwear found under a bed, A dirty bath towel and washcloth hanging in bathroom. I believe there were only two washcloths. No instructions on use of TV equipment, Wifi, appliances, deck lighting. It seems there were multiple light switches that turned nothing on. Problems lighting the grill. Tried the spare tank and a neighbor's tank but could only heat to 200 degrees...enough for hot (warm) dogs, but nothing else. There were parking permits sitting on a table, but not filled out. There was a lot of beach toys, charts, etc. sitting outside next to from door....do I assume they are for our use?
Bottom line here I think is communication. Perhaps a welcome binder with details. For an average cost of over $400 per night (including the taxes and crazy fees) maybe I do expect a little more.
I would still do it again, here or elsewhere, now I know more how it works and what to expect.
Great access to the beach.
We really enjoyed our stay here, the property provides very convenient access to the beach -- it is just across the street from the beach and a very easy walk. I'd still recommend a beach wagon of sorts though. There are bathrooms on the beach for residents only and you will get a code to access them upon check in. The building complex is a little dated, but the unit itself has been renovated (except the bathrooms, which are a little dated, but still not bad at all). Lots of great restaurants in the vicinity. Would definitely stay here again.
We had a wonderful stay at the Seascape Villas! The villa is located right across the street from the beach, was newly renovated and clean. The owner was also very helpful. We will definitely plan to stay here for future Hilton Head vacations!
This place was clean & very spacious! The walk to the beach is not bad at all. Definitely enjoyed staying there!
Absolutely greatGina was outstanding the property was perfect, the beds were so comfortable
We would recommend this place to anyone and would love to come back again sometime. We had so much room and plenty of beds for all our family. The beach was perfect and my 9 month old great grandson had so much fun. Anything we asked for extra was delivered to the room right away and any questions I had Gina called me back within a very short time. We loved the pools. They were so clean and never crowded. I love salt water pools. Thanks again for an amazing stay. Loved the beach cart, supplied beach chairs, other extra too
