Beautiful Property/Nice Area

  • 5 of 5

This house sits right on the river and is walking distance into town. It has a big back yard with several amenities. There's a small dock area that sits on the river. It's the perfect area to sit and read, relax and have a beer or glass of wine. Beautiful view, and occasionally you'll get to see people on their paddle boards or in tubes as they float down the river. Very quiet and serene. There is a beautiful park just down the street with great walking trails. The town is very quaint and everyone is friendly. Bend caters to the dogs, and almost every location in town has water bowls for them. There are several breweries in town, so lots of different beers to try. Outside of the town, you have Costco, Trader Joes, Safeway and other typical stores. Marybeth makes sure you have everything you need and has wonderful recommendations on things to do and see during your visit. I'm looking forward to coming back. I love this place!!!

The best vacation rental ever!!!

  • 5 of 5

Bend is charming, and has a balance of natural beauty and fun things to do. I stayed at Marybeth’s darling two bedroom house on the river. It’s in a great location, and an easy walk to town. Sitting on the back yard dock, on the river, with a glass of wine and watching rafters and floaters go by is a wonderful way to spend the afternoon. The house is beautifully decorated, and has every amenity you could hope to find. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, serving utensils, spices, coffee, and makes the stay very comfortable. Marybeth (and her dog Bo) live just across the street. She checks in to make sure you’ve got everything you need, and offers suggestions on things to do, places to go, and restaurants and breweries to visit. This home is so much more than you’d expect from a rental property. Marybeth makes the visit warm and comfortable. It feels more like staying with friends or family. Can’t wait to return!

Five stars are not enough!

  • 5 of 5

We have never stayed at a VRBO, Marybeth sure has set the bar high for any other rentals we may try. I don't even know where to start, everything was absolute perfection! The cottage was well equipped, nicely decorated and made you feel at home the moment you stepped through the door. The backyard is very private yet set up as though you're hosting a lawn party, plenty of seating, gazebo's, bar-b-q and coolers...just add guests! Did I mention that this backyard sits right on the river? Hard to imagine, but it just keeps getting better! All of this is located in the perfect part of town, close enough to walk to downtown and the beautiful Drake Park, that is if you can tear yourself away. We had a hard time doing just that, but did manage to tube down the river a couple of times since that is my passion, and again, was not disappointed. So, needless to say, I can recommend this rental wholeheartedly and do so with envy that someone else gets to spend time in this wonderland called The River Willow House.

Perfect Location - Perfect Cottage!

  • 5 of 5

We can not say enough good things about this amazing cottage. Whatever your interests, there is no better location in Bend. Drake Park and downtown is a short walk one direction, and the Old Mill district is a short walk the other direction. The backyard is nothing short of magical and, of course, sitting by the river will cure whatever ails you. The owner, Marybeth has thoughtfully and tastefully decorated and equipped the cottage with everything you need to settle in and feel right at home. She also welcomed our two golden retrievers with open arms, and they loved it, too. Those who do not have pets should not worry about the fact that this cottage is pet friendly as it is absolutely immaculate. Just an all-around great place.....and Marybeth's a wonderful hostess.

The best part of Bend!

  • 5 of 5

My girlfriend and I have stayed at rentals all over the country, and I must say....this is by far the best!. We're from Chicago and this was my first time to the area. Our stay there could not have been better! Marybeth has the house set up so you completely forget that you're in a rental. Every inch is perfectly clean and cozy. Everything you need is there for you and easy to find. That's just the house.....the backyard lends an amazing view of the Deschutes river complimented with a gorgeous yard stocked with furniture, fire pit, grill. I wish I had more stars to use!!
