Very spacious (photos are not wide angle - the place is just that roomy). The master bedroom is large with a King size bed and an adjoining private bathroom with double sinks, soaker tub and separate shower. The second bedroom has a Queen size murphy bed to allow versatility in the room as you'd like. The bedrooms are in a split design (one on each side of the home - great for two couples to share). The kitchen and living space is HUGE with an open floor plan for excellent entertaining. A Smart TV with DVD player (and movie selection) is in the Great room. You'll have free access to 2 Bikes to enjoy the green belt & lake area. And there is the refreshing unheated complex Pool nice and close. We provide 2 sets of golf clubs if you'd like to golf at the many nearby courses. Two Spring Training Stadiums & downtown Old Town are less than 2 miles away. Old Town Scottsdale (with Art Galleries, Top-notch restaurants, museums, and activities). Our unit is a great place to just relax and hang out or nicely located to so many fun activities close by. Books and Games are also available. Free Internet. Dining table seats 6. Large kitchen island seats 3. The large central kitchen flows out through french doors to the private patio. There is a convenient In-Unit laundry. Programmable Air Conditioning. Enjoy the lush private patio area w/ optional fountain & private BBQ. Under-cover parking for 2 cars, plus plenty of street parking. Well stocked so you can begin to enjoy your trip right away. Disabled could also stay here (walkers, yes. wheel-chairs not as much). Long-term rental discounts (one month+) are available, just inquire for possible savings.

When my husband took a consulting job in Scottsdale and I would go and visit (since we still lived in California) I fell in love with the beautiful clean and art filled city of Scottsdale. There was so much to do and it was also so relaxing. We bought the townhouse so my husband wouldn't have to stay in a hotel during the work week. We had lots of fun completely renovating it into a truly amazing place. John's contract is done now and we'd like to give others a chance to enjoy our little piece of paradise, just as we have.

Why Patti & John Born chose Chateau De Vie
We bought this property because of it's excellent location to Old Town Scottsdale...the galleries, restaurants, golf, and of course "Spring Training". But what really made us fall in love this this particular townhouse was the back patio oasis and it's nearness to the Scottsdale green-belt. Unlike other units, it is NOT adjacent to the carport. Instead the patio is private and sheltered with dappled sunlight.. Also, when we saw the potential to create a huge, central kitchen where everyone could gather and flow onto the private patio, we were sold. You will be too, when you see it.
What makes this Townhome unique
One block to the Scottsdale green-belt (we provide bikes & roller-blades). Also close to Old Town Scottsdale and Spring Training ballparks (less than 2 miles). Close to many golf courses (we provide 2 sets of right-handed Golf clubs). The split bedrooms (one on each side of the unit) are a big hit for those who want privacy. The large kitchen is very well appointed, to actually cook if you'd like. Very close to grocery store. The Indian Casino is less than 2 miles too.

Excellent (and first) family trip to Scottsdale!
To paraphrase from Zac Brown, this place has everything you need, and nothing you don't. The location is great -- close to bike trails, town, shopping, and hiking. The unit was clean, spacious, and perfect for our family of 5, and for a guest we had for one night. Kitchen was nice, all appliances worked, and the patio was great for morning coffee or afternoon reading. We used almost all of the nice amenities -- the grill, two bikes, a great set of DVDs (with some of the best movies of all time), and some fun games. (Also came with two nice sets of golf clubs, which we unfortunately did not use this time.) The parking situation was convenient and safe. Owners were pleasant, excellent communicators, and responsive before and during trip. Made the experience seamless, which was important, as it was our first family trip to Scottsdale.
Only one minor wrinkle. The swimming pool area is convenient and peaceful, which is great. The water was clean but very cold (guessing around 60), so not swimmable for more than a few seconds. The only other thing to be aware of is, while the price was very reasonable ($300/night, peak season), the Homeaway fee, cleaning fee, and taxes add another $650 i.e., made it closer to $400/night all-in for a week.
Overall, a wonderful first family trip to Scottsdale. We had an aggressive schedule, and the place proved to be an ideal home base. We would rent again from the Borns.
What a fantastic property! Typical townhouse on the outside, but beautifully designed and decorated on the inside. Looks great and super functional. Huge kitchen and island for gathering for coffee or drinks (we did both). Also, it has a super lush courtyard. We ate outside a couple of nights and it was perfect. We had two couples and the 2 bedrooms/bathrooms worked perfectly. The master bedroom and bathroom were incredibly spacious.
The other thing we liked most about the townhouse was it's location. Right in the middle of everything that makes Scottsdale, Scottsdale! Close to "Old Town" and wonderful restaurants, art galleries and shopping. If you're into chillin with a glass of wine (or two), try the Old Goat in Old Town. The townhouse is also just minutes away from the Spring Training facilities for the SF Giants, AZ Dbacks, and CO Rockies. We were a bit early for spring training, but we're coming back!
If you're into golf (and I am), you're within a few minutes of tons of courses. We went to Talking Stick (5 mi. - and they have a casino!) and Papago (10 mi. - reminds me of Torrey Pines South without the ocean), but you can also get to TPC Scottsdale in about 15 minutes, along with at least 1/2 dozen other courses. Next time. We brought our own sticks, but the unit has 2 sets of clubs - not the newest, but serviceable.
The townhouse is also right next to the greenbelt (parkland) that stretches for miles in each direction. Great for walks and watching sunsets over Camelback mountain. We did this a couple of times. Tremendous!
Once in the unit, everything was provided, and I mean EVERYTHING! Kitchen and bathrooms had everything. Laundry, if you need it, was fully stocked. Even the fridge had soft drinks, condiments, etc. likely from previous tenants.
Lastly, it was great working with the owner, Patti. She was super helpful and responsive during the booking process and when we had any questions about the unit or Scottsdale.
As you can tell, we loved this place and will definitely be coming back. It was a great experience!

Probably the best "outfitted" kitchen we have ever had in a rental. New kitchen and bathrooms. Large master; large living area. Pretty courtyard. Would have been nice to have an outdoor space for eating.
Good location--easy access to 101 and everywhere in Scottsdale.
There is a low table and 4 chairs on the patio for dining (not an official dining table - more like a large coffee table)
The townhouse was beautiful and very well appointed. The owners thought of everything. The unit was renovated with great detail and decorated with bright, cheerful original art. The unit was perfect for a week with another couple. The owners were prompt to respond, which earns them points in my book. We can't wait to stay again!!

Property was nicely furnished, clean, pleasing and roomy. Easy to access grocery stores, parks and free-ways. Quiet neighborhood. Made for a very good home-base from which to enjoy Scottsdale and surrounding area.
We would stay again if back in the area.
