Hi! I am a high school counselor and I have always dreamed of living on the lake. In 2015 I had the opportunity to purchase this special property. The cottage that was included has quickly become a very popular retreat for many visitors to this area. I hope you may be one that also agrees! I grew up in this area, so please let me know if you need any tips about what to do.

Very quiet location but close to lots of activities!
Easy access, and parking.
I came up for the Uwharrie trail race with my husband two small children and our dog. The Sundance is all one room and very cozy. It was clean and right on the lake. Though it was a little too cold to go out on the water the kids were very entertained on the property. It is very close to the trail heads for our biking and running needs. We loved it. Thank you.
Description and reviews on VRBO are all accurate - very nice and clean cottage on a quiet street. Everything was well maintained and my fiance and I thoroughly enjoyed the weekend hiking and relaxing!
We love staying here! It’s so nice to bring our dogs with us when we come out to the mountain. The space is perfect and the location is great.
The Sundance Cottage is cozy. Location is great on a quiet street, and on a little cove off of the lake. We were comfortable and had most everything we needed. We loved the area. Went fishing and hiking in Uwharrie. We would most definitely love to stay here again when we come back to this area
This cottage is perfectly located in a beautiful quiet area by the lake. We spent ten days with my kids, hubby and our dog. We enjoyed every moment. We even had the chance to see a bunch of deers by the front door.
Telena was a great hostess and responded immediately to our questions.
We loved it!
This is a great alternative to a cabin on the trails while OHV/ATV riding. It is comfortable, warm, quiet, instant hot water! We had Thanksgiving Holiday here and loved it (our little pups too!). Cooked our traditional turkey and fixings. Had bonfires and convenient to the trails when we were ready to ride! Met the owner's family at the Outpost; so sweet. Thank you Telena for sharing your piece of heaven in the Forest!
Uwharrie National Forest provides multiple opportunities for outdoor activities.
