About Telena Gooch
Hi! I am a high school counselor and I have always dreamed of living on the lake. In 2015 I had the opportunity to purchase this special property. The cottage that was included has quickly become a very popular retreat for many visitors to this area. I hope you may be one that also agrees! I grew up in this area, so please let me know if you need any tips about what to do.

Not as expected
The pictures that are posted are very misleading, the home is not really on the lake, the owner lives next door and the picture that are posted our of the owners Lake access and buildings. We felt duped. It's more like a off Lake cottage
Even in the rain!
The cabin was clean and well appointed. There were enough pots & utensils to cook breakfast and dinner in the kitchen, even though it is small. The DVD collection was a big bonus because it was a rainy weekend. Telena was very helpful and nice. We did explore the boathouse and the woods. It's very close to Uwharrie Jeep trails and the the Outpost. We would definitely stay here again... maybe when it's sunny.
Very nice property as described. Clean and comfortable. Great guest services and amenities.
Enjoyed location, views and use of kayaks. Pet friendly. Cottage well equipped. Had a wonderful stay.
The property was perfect for my wife and I. Especially pleased to find the cottage so clean
The property was in a nice location, convenient and secluded. Everything was nice and clean. The bed was comfortable. We enjoyed it thoroughly.
Thank you so much!!! I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay! Please come back soon!
It was small and quiet with everything we needed.
Perfect little getaway! We loved the kayaks and caught blue gills one after another in the cove.
So happy you enjoyed your stay and the fishing was good. Please come back anytime.
We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage on Badin Lake. The cottage was small but perfect for me and my husband. We were able to bring our cat which also made it nice.
The cottage had all we needed for the week. Easy drive to Dollar General or Food Lion for any necessities. The Outpost was nice for fishing items and gasoline.
We enjoyed having our boat and was glad the dock accommodated it. It was nice having a covered dock as well. The cottage was cozy and comfortable nestled in a cove so no boat traffic. We would highly recommend visiting Badin Lake and the surrounding area.
Thank you again Telena for sharing your cottage. We truly had an amazing time.
So glad you enjoyed your stay and had a restful vacation. I hope you can come back soon!!!
Uwharrie National Forest provides multiple opportunities for outdoor activities.
