The Chapel Gate House has a fascinating history and was originally located on the Naval Academy grounds in the early 1900s. These historic homes were literally taken down and rebuilt on what is now College Ave. We hope you enjoy a delightful experience in Annapolis.

Drawn to Annapolis by the historical charm and Naval Academy, the family saw their own midshipman through the Naval Academy from 1998-2002. The family purchased 5 College in 2002 and have slowly renovated both the first and second floor apartments. The latest work was a complete re-fit of the first floor to be made into the perfect weekend getaway for visitors to Annapolis. Rebecca and her daughter Whitney worked together to make this vacation home the perfect place for a relaxing visit to Annapolis. They are eager to make your experience a memorable one and keep you coming back to the Chapel Gate Cottage.
Whitney Landon purchased this apartment in 2002
We have stayed here 4 times in the past 2 years. Absolutely love this place. Not only is it neat and clean and decorated well, everything works everytime. For an old home in Annapolis, you would expect some "character" flaws but not here. We will continue to stay as long as the owner continues letting us. Can't wait to come back!
Since our son is on a varsity sports team at USNA and could not leave campus for spring break we decided to rent a VRBO so he could get some rest with his family and some home cooked meals. This 2-bedroom apartment did not disappoint. It was very comfortable and super convenient to USNA. Our son was able to sleep in and then easily walk to practice each morning. We made him family dinners each night, watched movies and enjoyed all the comforts of home. Thank you to Whitney for allowing us to extend the trip by one day with late notice and for being so flexible with a late check-out time. There are tenants above the unit and you will hear them from time to time, but this was not a problem during the hours when everyone is sleeping. Since the VBRO is literally next to the USNA campus the streets are pretty quiet. Parking was not a problem at all but that may be because the campus was empty due to spring break. We will most definitely rent this charming 1st floor apartment again! Thanks again to Whitney for such a wonderful stay.
This is a beautifully renovated house close to all of the action in the heart of Annapolis. Check in was easy and straightforward and communication from the owner was great. The house was neat and clean, well decorated, and appointed with nice tasteful furniture. The kitchen is modern, and living room very comfortable. I would definitely return.
