Why Josh Plum, LPM - Plum Property Management, LLC chose Seeley Lake

Seeley Lake is nuzzled in a valley between the Mission Mountain Range and Swan Mountain Range in Western Montana with a chain of lakes running through. There are plenty of things to do in Seeley Lake year around.

In the winter you can enjoy an array of outdoor actives such as snowshoeing, ice skating, cross country skiing, as well as the “Race to the Sky” dog sled race. The Seeley Lake Pond Hockey Tournament is a fund raiser for local charities that is held annually January 5th to the 7th.

In the summer you can cast a pole into Seeley Lake, a 1,025-acre glacially-formed lake. It is stocked several times each year with rainbow trout. Other fish types that can be found include bull trout, whitefish, kokanee, salmon perch, and bluegills. Or enjoy a vast selection of water activities to include but not limited to kayaking, boating, jet skiing and paddle boarding. Rentals are available throughout Seeley Lake.

What makes this cabin unique

This cabin comes with the use of two kayaks and a canoe, the river is steps away and the boat launch is within 100 yards. This spacious and open property leaves room for tents to be pitched as well as RV hookups. Come to Montana and enjoy all the wonders that this Big Sky Country has to offer.

Cozy cabin with space for a family

  • 4 of 5

We stayed July 28 through August 4th 2018. Our group included seven people one of which slept on an air mattress that my daughter bought with her. All of the owner artifacts were very interesting. Overall, the house is well appointed, but the rugs in the kitchen had curled corners and were such a tripping hazard that we rolled them up for the duration of our stay. We also found that every knife needed to be sharpened. A washing machine would have been nice to clean our personal beach towels that we used at the lake. Also, the photos of the kitchen only show a dorm size refrigerator, but there is a full size fridge in the downstairs guest room that we didn't know about.

The log-in information that was provided by Plum had a typo in it and we were unable to log into the WiFi for 4 days. We tried to figure it out, but Mark had to come with fresh eyes to find the small mistake between the email and the FAQ binder.

We all enjoyed the daily visits from the many woodland friends that liked the shady grassy area near the front porch. The house gets very warm during the day and the ceiling fans don't work, so we bought 3 fans to circulate the air. The house cools off nicely if you open the windows at night. We all look forward to returning to Seeley Lake and hope this location is available.

Beautiful spot close to Seeley Lake

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at this property. It was convenient to snowmobile directly from the cabin to the local trail system. The cabin was well equipped with everything you need. It was nice to have five separate beds. I will mention that the well water has a really, really strong iron taste. You'll probably want to bring bottled water for drinking, but it's fine for everything else. The owner has a list of rules to adhere to if you stay here. Understandable, as it is a nice home with lots of personal touches; however it leaves you with the feeling that you are a guest in the home, rather than paying for the use of a vacation cabin. That being said, we would stay here again.

nice

  • 3 of 5

the stay was very pleasant. The only issue would be the parking. No place to park a four door pick up with four place snowmobile trailer. If the roadway was a few feet wider would help and a place to turn the trailer around down by the garage. Maybe with all the snow this season could contribute to the parking issue. Thank You

Convenient location, reasonable price.

This was a nice place to stay for our snowmobile trip to Seeley Lake. Plenty of parking room, close to town, and pretty much right on the trail.

Nice cabin, not the best setup for snowmobiling if you are hauling a trailer.

  • 2 of 5

Cabin was clean and well maintained. The only shower in the cabin is a bit small, kind of like showering in a closet.

The main problem I encountered was the narrow driveway. The driveway is so narrow because of the snow berms, there is only about 4 inches of clearance on each side. The turnaround at the end of the driveway barely allowed me to turn around with just a 20’ trailer. Also, it is requested that you don’t park in the driveway. If you park in the only parking area, you have to maneuver into a tiny area and unhook your trailer and park next to it.

This would be a great place to stay for summer activities, but my low rating is based on a snowmobiling vacation.
