It had been vacant for decades, but was located at what some would consider the best location in Downtown Memphis (Main and Union). The restoration has taken 8 years (thus far!).

59 So. Main 301 has key code access off of the Main Street Mall, and coded elevator access to it's location on the top floor of the building. Unique about this property is the ability to be in the center of everything, and still have a very private, peaceful getaway.

Idyllic central downtown Memphis apartment throbbing with "soul"
This place not only fulfilled our accommodation needs in every ways but blew away our expectations in pretty much every category. Clean and very tastefully set up and decorated. Location is perfectly situated in the heart of downtown with entrance on a pedestrian-only street so very quiet with parking garage (free with the apartment) right around the corner. Surrounded by great restaurants and stores. Within walking distance of Beale Street, River front parks, convention center, arena etc. The house is equipped with a thick ring-binder full of information and great resources for every thing "Memphis" you could imagine. Tremendously hospitable owner and very helpful with any question or wonderment. Would stay here again for sure! >JCB<

Excellent stay, extremely helpful manager. Loved the location, walking distance of much entertainment. Only negative was a parking garage that didn’t open until 10 a.m. on weekends. But overall I would definitely stay here again.
Thank you so much for the great review. There is a door code which allows entrance to parking garage during closed hours and after gaining entrance the parking pass allows exits. I apologize I failed to provide the door code. Typically the garage is open all hours on weekends, maybe the holiday changed hours... I will look into this and update to future guests to ensure make this doesn't inconvenience any future guest stays.
My friends and I stayed here for the St. Jude marathon weekend. It was the perfect location for the start and finish line. The place was clean and well decorated. The owner was very helpful and very organized. We would highly recommend this place to anyone coming to the Memphis area. Oh, the beds were very comfortable!

Great place. Everyone was very helpful with local information. Make sure you realize that 1 bedroom is a loft and one bedroom basically doesn't have walls so not a lot of privacy noise wise. Was fine for our family though. Would definitely stay again.
Main and Union. Welcome to the center of Downtown Memphis! From here, you can walk practically anywhere - Beale Street, the Fedex Forum, the Orpheum, the Pyramid, you name it! Just to the west over the bluff is the Mighty Mississippi river. Just down the hill to the east is the Peabody Hotel and the Rendezvous. Walk out of your front door onto the Main Street Mall. There is truly no better downtown address than where you have chosen to stay! As you will see from the photos, this unit is a newly renovated loft space in an historic building. It has coded elevator access and is very private considering it's location, which is right in the heart of Downtown Memphis. Memphis is a city with a real soul. Anyone who has lived here for a period of time has felt it. Most who have have moved away will tell you that their new place of residence does not have it. Other cities may be larger, or have more history, but none have more soul! Enjoy your stay!
