Brian and Jamie
Relaxing vacation destination with excellent amenities! Private and serene on the island, immaculate cabin and lots of wildlife to see. Fishing was excellent. 30" Northern, many walleye, bass and blue gills. Lots of fun to catch and eat! Owner extremely accommodating. Couldn't of had a better experience! I highly recommend Glenwood Lodge in the beautiful north country!
Thank you Brian and Jamie.
Always a pleasure having you and your family at Glenwood.
Cabin was immaculate when we arrived. We love visiting the northeast end of Vermilion; having lived in the area 15 years ago. Best lake in the state hands down. The location of the cabin is perfect; 15 min boat ride from Hoodoo point where we put in (it's in site of Glennwood Lodge if you choose to drive there), 15 min to the Trout Lake portage beach, 15 min to Fortune Bay Casino & Golf, and great fishing out the door. Dock was large enough to accommodate both our 24' Pontoon and boat + friends that stopped over. The cabin: it's new. nice open living area and kitchen, bathroom was large, and nice sized bedrooms. We really enjoyed the deck and large area to the lake. Yes, we already reserved for next year!!
As we sat on the front porch we watched the beaver swim by, the heron fish by the water's edge, and listened to the loons call. Looking out the back window I see a deer with her spotted fawn. Our cabin is northwoods with comfortable rustic furniture but all the modern amenities. In the evening we watched the moon come up while making smores by the campfire, this is what vacation should be. This is our second time staying in this cabin and we will certainly be back again and again.
Glenwood Lodge is pet friendly as long as you look after your pet, cabins are non-smoking. Check in time is 9am, check out time is 3 pm. Boat rental available for an extra $600/week plus tax.
