Perfect group retreat

  • 5 of 5

Nancy and Tim's lodge and gorgeous property was the perfect location for my group of 12 adults to spend a weekend together in retreat. 4 of us slept inside (though there was enough bed space for at least 3 more) and the more outdoorsy folks pitched tents all across the property. We all had privacy, while the kitchen/living area was large enough to host all of us comfortably. We went to sleep with owls singing, and woke up to the raven song. Our group is a group of herbal/plant enthusiasts, so we spent an afternoon walking the property and learning about the wild PNW plants that grow there. Evening by the fire was perfect too. Nancy and Tim were available for great conversations and I loved hearing their amazing life story - they also gave us plenty of privacy. I would love to go back for a weekend away with girlfriends, a family get together, or even an outdoorsy romantic getaway. The price for what you get here is incomparable, I couldn't be more pleased. Thank you Nancy and Tim!

Awesome family trip!

  • 5 of 5

This is a cute little cottage that is very comfortable and the land-lady is very hospitable and accommodating. My children loved all the green grass, surrounding forest, and doggies to play with! The owners live on-site but they are kind and allowed us our privacy -- even though I loved chatting with her and her dear family when they were around. Accommodations were comfortable, clean, and well-thought-out (like fold-out dining table and extra chairs available for a large group but easy to put away for more room; plenty of towels, blankets, and pillows; plenty of appliances and kitchenware). It was comfortable for our family of 6 and we even had my in-laws over for dinner. Thanks again Nancy~

Nature's Beauty and Serenity..

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful lodge and surrounding area.. I especially liked the tall hemlock tree growing to of the old cedar surrounded by a green meadow. .The lodge was well-furnished and the beds were comfortable. Nancy, the owner, was very pleasant and it was enjoyable chatting with her. She made wifi accessible but at times iPhone and on-line reception was a bit iffy. Our stay was peaceful and relaxing and enjoyable.

Really unique property with beauty & character!

  • 4 of 5

Enjoyed our stay in the "lodge"! Very unique place in a beautiful wooded setting. Used this as our home base for exploring the North Cascades and the Anacortes area. Also went up the coast from here to Bellingham. Nice central location for what we wanted to do. Owners were great. Gave us our privacy, but were nearby for questions. Appreciated all that the property had to offer. Thanks Nancy!

Great views and beautiful Stay - Loved it!

  • 5 of 5

Great owner with very enjoyable accommodations with 3 separate bedrooms and gorgeous balcony views. Convenient downstairs for playing games and kitchen to make meals and snacks. Owner who shared the property was very accommodating, pleasant and willing to share information on the area. Nice real people willing to share their slice of heaven. It's not the kind of place you just stumble across, you have to be looking for it. Inside log beams made from the Doug. Fir harvested on the property are quiet impressive. Deer and rabbit were plentiful. If you are looking for a quiet place to unwind and disconnect then this is the spot. Not only would I stay again when in Washington, I have no idea why I wouldn't stay there again. It truly was like staying with friends. Do bring enough food for multiple days as you won't want to leave just to get 'groceries'.
