Perfect group retreat

  • 5 of 5

Nancy and Tim's lodge and gorgeous property was the perfect location for my group of 12 adults to spend a weekend together in retreat. 4 of us slept inside (though there was enough bed space for at least 3 more) and the more outdoorsy folks pitched tents all across the property. We all had privacy, while the kitchen/living area was large enough to host all of us comfortably. We went to sleep with owls singing, and woke up to the raven song. Our group is a group of herbal/plant enthusiasts, so we spent an afternoon walking the property and learning about the wild PNW plants that grow there. Evening by the fire was perfect too. Nancy and Tim were available for great conversations and I loved hearing their amazing life story - they also gave us plenty of privacy. I would love to go back for a weekend away with girlfriends, a family get together, or even an outdoorsy romantic getaway. The price for what you get here is incomparable, I couldn't be more pleased. Thank you Nancy and Tim!

Great place for family and friends

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the lodge for a quiet weekend away from the city. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious, the kitchen is nice (missing an oven, but there is a BBQ outside), and the living room was big enough for 5 adults and 2 kids. The outdoor space was great for playing soccer, exploring the woods, and most of all - campfire! It was the highlight of our trip (or camping as the kids called it). We had a nice conversation with Nancy and Tim and there son by the fire, it was great!

We can't wait to go back again!

Owner's Response: It was wonderful to meet you and your family. I am glad that we were able to fulfill your son's "camping" dream. We love sitting by the camp fire with our guests. Please come back again! (As a side note, we have 2 ovens in the main house if anyone needs them)

Great cabin was perfect for our stay.

  • 5 of 5

Great location in the the woods off the beaten path. Nancy was very accommodating through the weekend even allowed us to host a rehearsal dinner in the yard. Would definitely stay here again if I'm ever in the area again.

Perfect for a family reunion!

  • 5 of 5

Spent 3 nights at Nancy's wonderful hideaway at the end of July 2016. We were warmly greeted by Nancy, her son and their playful dog. The property was just what we need to call home base as we attended a nearby family reunion. The six adults were able to unwind after long days of extended family reunion time in the lodge's family room. Sleeping arrangements easily accommodated both married and single members of my family. We did not prepare meals at the lodge, but we could have easily, since the kitchen was nicely appointed. The property was nicely maintained and had an ample supply of towels. The lodge is located south of Bellingham, and although off the beaten path, I-5 is easily accessible. We would definitely re-book this lodge!
