About Dennis LeFevre
We've dreamed of living in Colorado for 30 years and made our move in 2014! We've owned the cabin next door, Heavenly Hideaway, for several years and are pleased to have Bear Den so close.
Dennis LeFevre purchased this Cabin in 2015
Why Dennis LeFevre chose Rainbow Valley
Our friends have owned the Bear Den for a number of years and recently decided they were ready to move on. We're pleased to add this well cared for property so that you can enjoy it and the area as much as we do!
What makes this Cabin unique
If you're planning a cozy mountain get-away or an active vacation, Bear Den can accommodate. If you need more space, check to see if our neighboring cabin, Heavenly Hideaway is available.

Beautiful views but Bed Bugs
It is a beautiful cabin with beautiful views. Super fun for a stay with kids because of the den upstairs. Interesting rules about not having alcohol on the premises and limited use of water. Dusty and dated but good for the price. The bedroom downstairs was infested with bed bugs, though upstairs was not, thankfully. Otherwise we would have had to leave. Still nervous about the possibility of us bringing that into our home. And pretty concerning having little kids... Informed the owner and was told it would get taken care of by the cleaning crew...
Great as usual!!
Love staying here!!
Nice house, secluded location, nicely decorated, owner super easy to work with
We started at the Bear Den for a 3 night get-away. House was nice and had pretty much everything we needed. Secluded area with nice views. The house is decorated nicely and is very charming. The house interior isn’t huge, but for our group of 3, it was perfect, as we spent most of the time out exploring.
Dennis, the owner was great to work with. He answered all my questions in a timely manner as I was planning my trip. He even went outside the box helping me find local places to eat.
All in all a great excuse erienxe. I would rent the Bear Den again if I was in the area
Clean, great view.
Finding it, parking and getting bags to cabin was a bit of a challenge but it is a great little cabin.
Delightful cabin with amazing views surpassed our expectations!
The pictures of the Bear Den are deightful, but we were unprepared for how very excellent the cabin and view and the whole Rainbow Valley area is! Wow! It is a very quiet, private area in that other homes/cabins are not very close......only one is even clearly visible, and that is down the road a ways. The cabin is furnished so nicely along a black bear theme........so appropriate and cabin-feeling, yet too nice and new to be considered rustic. We are a family of 7 and there was plenty of room for us and all our needs were met by the cabin amenities. The cabin is comfortable and clean. Our favorite aspect of all was the absolutely breathtaking view of the mountains from the deck! We came from the East to Colorado on vacation to enjoy the mountains where my mom grew up, and to have such a panoply of beauty displayed before our eyes each time we looked out the glass doors or went out onto the deck was a wonderful gift that we will cherish forever. Thank you so very much, Dennis and Jen, for sharing your "slice of heaven" with us.......may God bless you richly!
Great views but home needs TLC
This was the first stop in our family vacation where we stayed at 4 different VRBOs in Colorado. This was our least favorite.
The parking spot is very small if you have large SUV or truck you’ll probably have to parallel park. Not a big deal, but if you have multiple cars, just be aware.
Views are great. 2nd time to the area and it doesn’t disappoint.
The home is dated.... which isn’t a deal killer, but it wasn’t very clean. Dusty and cobwebs throughout. At least half the drawers between kitchen and bathroom are broken and don’t function properly.
it did have washer and dryer which was nice.
It served our purpose as a staging place for our adventures outside the home. But it wasn’t the type of place I would enjoy hanging out in.
