About Carl Larson
I have lived in Washington for the last 30 years. I built the Foxglove house and my shop in 1991, and raised my two daughters here. I am a woodworker, building cabinets, furniture and lighting and work and live on the property.
Carl Larson purchased this House in 1991
Why Carl Larson chose Poulsbo
Kitsap county is within easy access to Seattle, olympic peninsula and many small towns. I chose this property for its beauty and privacy and access to community.

Beautiful, quiet, and restful. Everything was as described. Simply charming! And we would love to return for a week next summer.
Great house! Very tranquil. So great for my family during my daughter’s wedding
A Hidden Gem in the Trees
A short drive down a gravel road, enveloped in green trees, adds to the beauty of this craftsman home. Eight of us were in town for a wedding and stayed in Carls home a few nights. The house was impeccable and tastefully decorated. It rained the first day of our trip so we appreciated all the seating and board games for our family game night. There is a large deck and bbq which we took advantage of. The backyard is large and there is ample games for all ages to play including volley ball and croquet!
The home is spacious with a large fully stocked kitchen, four bedrooms, and three bathrooms. There was plenty of room to unpack and settle in. The beds were comfortable. The washer and dryer was appreciated!
Definitely recommend experiencing this beautiful home if your in the area! Thank you Carl for hosting!
Family get together
We rented the house for our granddaughters HS graduation. Fox Glove was perfect. Enough space for everyone one to get together. we were there 9 days and I didn't want leave.
The home was wonderful. Very spacious and well equipped. The owner was very friendly and easy to work with. It had everything you could possibly need. Highly recommend it!
Perfection in Poulsbo!!
This beautiful home was the perfect spot for a 50th birthday/high school friend reunion! We each had a comfortable room and plenty of places to sit and reminisce! Each morning started on the porch and ended on the couches watching old movies. The kitchen had everything we needed to make wonderful dinners including grilled salmon on the outdoor BBQ. We should have checked the cupboards before shopping because the basics were there - coffee, tea, honey... Carl is easy to communicate with and so kind and thoughtful to help make this a great vacation. The house is well appointed with everything you would need, perfectly clean, quiet except for the sound of birds and the rain on the trees - so lovely!! This is my second time staying there and I'm trying to figure out when I can go back! The city of Poulsbo is quaint and offers many interesting shops and great places to eat. There are serene walking trails nearby at Miller Bay Heritage Park. Sluys Bakery is amazing and provided both breakfast and late night sweets! If you can stay here you definitely should!!
