Vicky was born and raised in Hawaii who always enjoyed the westside of the island where the sunsets and the beaches are the best.
Relaxing on the lanai enjoying the waves and occasional turtles, and whales going by. The evening sunsets and moonlit stars are just another beautiful sight to see.
We had a wonderful family vacation at this property. Could not be any closer to the water and the sunsets were absolutely incredible. Home was very spacious with water views from the entire main living area. Was a little warm with no AC, but plenty of fans to keep the air moving. Property was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our vacation - Thanks!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Beach House. The location was superb and we were ecstatic when we stepped out onto the deck and took in the amazing view. The beach was beautiful! There were very few people and lots of beautiful soft sand. We loved sitting on the deck in the evening, watching the sunset and listening to the waves. In the mornings, we sat out to have our breakfast and watch the turtles.
We thought the property would have benefited from a wall safe but otherwise it had a very "comfy" feel to it and met our needs.
This property is all about the location though, and if we return to Hawaii, this would be our first choice of holiday home.
An older home that could certainly use updates and basic repairs. Several wall switches that say "does not work" and we had to have an electrician come out to get ceiling fans to work (no air conditioning). BBQ is ancient, living area is plenty, beach location is ideal. Traffic is terrible to get to other parts of the island and the neighborhood is very rough; good to have the gate for added security. Enjoyed the stay but would not book again given the overall environment.
My family of 6 stayed at Vicky's home during spring break. There was more than enough sleeping arrangements for all of us, 3 kids and 3 adults. The house while only a 2 bedroom, was both spacious and clean. The ocean view from the house is unbeatable, completely unobstructed. We had an amazing stay and without hesitation highly recommend this rental. Everything was in working order, clean, and there were many extras as well. Plenty of sand toys, beach chairs, boogie boards, etc. There are many dining options nearby and grocery stores as well. If you are looking to having a relaxing vacation and get away from the madness of Waikiki, this is the place!
We spent two whole weeks kicking back, eating local, hiking and walking the beach. Had a car and wandered into downtown Honolulu, North shore and around. About 40 min. Drives. House has all you need to cook and the fans to cool you off. Huge washer and dryer. Beds are comfy! There's plenty of alternative sleeping options around the house as well. Love it, love it! Hint: The main room lights and fan are on hand held remotes on the wall, so don't go looking for a switch...oh and when the alarm says she is"disarmed" she really is even though she announces what door or window is being opened each time. You should have seen us wondering who was talking!! We loved it and definitely will come back again!
My wife and I were looking for a house to rent that would get us away from the commercial/ resort areas of Hawaii. We found it with Vicky's property. The location is in a little quiet neighborhood on the beach. The home has 3 sets of sliding glass doors facing the beach, so you always have a great view. No Air conditioning? No worries! We had the windows and doors open during the day to take advantage of the natural breezes and every night was in the mid to high sixties. True open air living and it was wonderful. The house was stocked so you could prepare meals at the house and eat on the lenai, watch the sunset, and have a bottle of wine. There is a great grocery store right down the road.
The beach is right out the back door. It was 50 yards from the house to where we settled ourselves each day. The entire time we were there it was like we had a private beach. There was even a surfing competition at the far end that we were able to watch. Beach is beautiful and the time we were there, the surf was for novice to advanced swimmers only.
House could use some updates, but extremely adequate for our stay. We will be back!
