La Conche is a fully restored traditional Quercy farmhouse magically located in a small valley near the Dordogne river in the beautiful countryside of the Lot.
The traditionally renovated 19th. century farmhouse is ideally situated 3 minutes walk from the village of Lacave (which contains a shop, 3 bars and restaurants) and the Dordogne River. The house contains 4 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large dining room / lounge with open fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen. All rooms are oak beamed. Outside there is a 5 m. x 7 m. covered patio, a B.B.Q and 10 acres of garden and woodland. The house is dated 1835 but there is evidence of an older house and might even be built on a prehistoric site. Being at the end of a track it is very quiet and tranquil but without being too isolated. The immediate garden area is approximately 100m x 20m. This gives out onto 10 acres of untouched woodland leading to the limestone upland plateau called the Causse de Gramat, the abode of foxes, badgers, deer and wild boar.
Relax and enjoy the tranquility of this beautiful part of France. It really is nice to experience a bit of real nature and good food.
