Overview

About the property

Cabin, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 8)

Views to die for in Central Oregon's high desert. Beautiful rustic (but very nice) cabin/home situated on 20 acres 17 miles S.E. of Prineville overlooking lake and river. You will feel totally secluded, but just a mile down the hill to state park and boat dock, another mile to small resort/marina, with store and boat rentals.

Stand on the porch and watch eagles, deer and other wildlife. Step out the door at night, and you will be enthralled by the brightness of the stars and galaxy. Wonderful getaway for couples, family, business, or friends. Deck off master bedroom perfect for morning tea, or sunbathing in solitude. Stay in touch with internet, Bike, explore, rock climb, boat, fish, hunt, or just simply relax in hot tub or in front of the stone fireplace in the most incredible surroundings. Memories of bright blue skies and fresh clean air will linger long after you've departed. This property isn't about crowds or malls, although the trendy city of Bend with its Mount Bachelor Ski Lodge and tons of shopping is just a quick 35 minutes from Prineville. If this home is already booked please ask about an alternate property that may be available. Also ask about a special rate for 2 people.

We don't mean to sell Prineville short. Doorway to the pine studded Ochoco mountains. Good restaurants in town, along with some great little antique, home decor, gift, and clothing shops. Several spas, coffee shops, and really nice people.

For a taste of Old Prineville, stop in Prineville Menswear on S. Main. Really good stuff. And maybe Dad's Cafe next door or in the Tastee Treat for a burger on hiway 26 across from Pioneer Park. Pine Theater is just like yesteryear showing current flicks ($8) and concessions for $2 or under.

Great Cabin

  • 5 of 5

This was our first stay at this cabin. It has a great view, is very peaceful and quiet. Having the hot tub and pool table was nice after being on the lake all day. I would recommend this cabin to everyone. We hope to stay here again.

Beautiful

  • 5 of 5

The property was the perfect getaway. The house and property were so beautiful and more than we could have hoped for. Everything was very comfortable. Lorrie and Chad were helpful without being overly intrusive. The hot tub and fire pit were amazing luxuries. The only thing that could be better is better quality pool sticks (me and my boyfriend are really into playing pool).

I would recommend this place to anyone and would love to come and visit again.

Our Happy Place

  • 5 of 5

This was our third visit to the cabin and still cannot get enough of this amazing place. Every time we arrive it's like world goes still. The views are breathless and the sky on a clear night is like nothing I've seen before. There are options to go for a walk right from the cabin. This time we had snow and that was the whole new experience! The cabin is very comfortable and warm. Love sitting by the fire in the evenings... To date we were not able to find anything even close to this place. Thank you Lorrie and Chad for continuing to share this special cabin. Can't wait to be back!

So cozy and perfect of 2 families

  • 5 of 5

4 adults and 6 kids for 5 days, and we were so comfortable... the only thing that would have made it perfect would be access to the washer and dryer. But aside from that we had an amazing time. Tons of snow to play in and the house was so cozy and warm.

Lorrie was great to work with. We hope to go back!

Owner's Response: Hi Molly, Thank you for your kind words for the cabin. I thought we had left access to the laundry open for you. Apologies!

Amazing Landscape

  • 5 of 5

This is by far the best place to get away... The mountain and lake views are like no other place I have stayed ... Made for an amazing family get away ! The beds were comfortable and the hottub was warm!! This is one of the most inviting places for a couple or a family get away ! Highly recommend it ! If I was to build a vacation home I would want it to be this one :)
