Peace and tranquility are hard to find these days but that is what you can have with this lovely cabin on 177 private feet of the Boardman river. The cabin features 1800 sq ft of living space with a gourmet kitchen, large dining room and gas fieldstone fireplace. The cabin can sleep 6-8 comfortably with rollaway beds to bring the number to 10, and has 2 full bathrooms and a half bath. When someone thinks of a cabin in the woods this is what they picture and it doesn't disappoint. Being so secluded however doesn't mean you're out of touch when you are only a leisurely 30 minute drive to downtown Traverse City, with it's award winning dining and shopping options.
The cabin is also uniquely positioned for outdoor activities being located within the Brown Bridge quiet area. This hiking and Nordic skiing area is perfect for easy to moderate hikes and is off limits to motorized vehicles and mountain bikes. But just a short 6.5 miles away is the VASA trail for mountain bikes and right out the door of cabin easy access to snowmobile trail #5 in the winter. For a bit more family or group fun take advantage of horseback riding, canoeing and tubing a mere mile away at Ranch Rudolf.
If fishing or hunting is your idea of fun the blue ribbon trout Boardman river is just out your back door. The cabin is also positioned in some of the best hunting in northern Michigan. Great as a base camp with a fire pit to sit around with your friends to tell stories of the one that got away, or that never came within range.
In the fall you are situated in one of the best places in northern Michigan to view the color change. And don't forget the winter for snowmobiling, with trails starting almost exactly out the front door of the cabin. You can even arrange snowmobile rentals with Blue Sky rentals. Or if a slower pace is more your liking snowshoeing and cross country skiing on the former summer hiking trails close to the cabin. What a fantastic winter wonderland to vacation in.
