I live and work here and am often in the suburbs. I have lived here for 12+ years. Every time I enter my home I fall in love with it like the first time I laid eyes on it. Incredible location in a world-class city with anything and everything to do within a 4-mile radius.
From the waterfront, city life to tree-lined streets and boutiques in 5 minutes. Anything and everything you need is within a 4-mile radius. I lived the first eight years here without a car.
We visit Chicago often from Boston area and have 2 children living in the area. Usually stay at the Lincoln Hotel (which is nice) but wanted to bring another couple and wanted a home atmosphere. This is definitely a very beautiful and cozy home. It is the perfect location and we were able to spread out and use the kitchen and relax at the end of a long day of site-seeing. Kellee could not have been nicer and it was my birthday and she even left us a birthday cake along with coffee and breakfast items. She checked in with us often to make sure we were comfortable and had all that we needed. We will return and rent again. The Armitage Street neighborhood is amazing and so much to do and see. In good weather you can walk to Michigan Avenue and along Lake Michigan (which we did). Thank -You Kelley We will return and no more Hotel Lincoln for us!
We booked as 2 couples and enjoyed Kellee's home. It was warm and inviting and well equipped. The location was perfect for us and it was easy to get to transit or catch cabs. The beds were very comfortable but I should mention that one was a queen and one was smaller, a double, so if you are used to King size, it's a bit tight.
My husband and I stayed for 5 days with our three children (ages 4,5,&6) and could not have been happier!! It was our first time staying at a vrbo and Kellee was fabulous. She had breakfast items waiting for us upon arrival, checked on us throughout the stay and was a delight. The space was fabulous, great for the kids to spread out in and all were happy. I would recommend to anyone who wants to stay in Lincoln Park.
So my sons and I booked this place because it was dog friendly and seemed promising. Overall its a Lovely place, has beautiful decor, convenient location near lake, and very friendly host.
But I wish the host said something about the construction next store and the noisy person above who woke us up every morning by walking loudly. Also the apartment wasn't the cleanest for the price tag I paid.
The fire station is right next to this place which wasn't actually a problem because I expected some street noises. But being woken up by the person upstairs and the construction drilling and pounding was not entirely worth the price.
If she had warned us about the noises in the description or emails, this wouldn't have been a problem.
Thus unit was for family that was visiting from out of town. The apt had a great Lincoln Park atmosphere and was relaxing after a day of seeing the sights in Chicago. It had plenty of room and was accommodating for kids. It is close to everything and the owner was always a text away if we ever needed anything. I would definitely recommend this listing.
Awesome place. Awesome, awesome place...
This was a last minute booking for a last minute trip, so my expectations were guarded, but we were very pleasantly surprised. This place would have exceeded my highest expectations. I stayed here with my husband and 2 teenage kids over the Fourth of July weekend, and it suited us perfectly. It is a beautiful, spacious apartment, well furnished and tastefully decorated, with an irresistibly inviting back deck. You'll find yourself spending as much time here as you do that for which you came to Chicago! It's in a great area of Lincoln Park, just off Oz Park within minutes walk of groceries, restaurants, the L, the zoo, the beach, etc.
Kellee is fantastic. She met us on arrival to welcome us to her place. She had coffe and pastries there for the next morning, as well as fruit and chocolates - so hospitable! She texted a couple of times during our stay just to check in and see how we were doing and if we needed anything.
It was a great vacation. We hope to return soon, and when we do, this will be the first place we check for availability. Can't wait to get back!
