The house is located on a hilltop acre that provides unobstructed breathtaking views of a valley filled with berries or pumpkins (depending on the season), apple orchards and Christmas trees with the Tobacco Row Mountains as a backdrop. The enclosed porch off of the master bedroom is a perfect spot to take it all in. The quiet, country roads allow for walking, bird watching and many miles of cycling . There is also a deck and patio (with an outdoor propane fireplace).
Originally the property was a country store with a gas pump and a mill. The living room is where the store operations took place. The rest of the house was home to the proprietors. There are 3 bedrooms:
The Master Bedroom has a queen size bed and walk in closet off of it's private bathroom. There is also a private sun porch with comfortable seating for 4 to enjoy the views.

Bedroom #3 is quite cozy in size, but provides space for a set of twin bunk beds and a wardrobe.
The kitchen is equipped for most cooking needs. There is a combo living room/dining room with a propane fire place, flat screen TV, DVD, and Dish Network. The house has WiFi internet access, however, due to the country setting it is provided via satellite and subject to limitations; No streaming or internet gaming.

In 10" you will be at Sweet Briar College. Within a 20" drive you will find the city of Lynchburg, Liberty University, and Randolph College. A 30" minute drive will take you to Poplar Forest, Thomas Jefferson's summer home or to the Appomattox Court House. 40" will take you to the Blue Ridge Parkway or Natural Bridge. An hour drive and you could be in Charlottesville or the Lime Kiln Theater in Lexington.
