This simply decorated cottage was clean, comfortable and spacious. My sister and I enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and the beach. Perfect location for some peace and quiet!

Comfortable Cottage in a Wonderful Location

  • 4 of 5

Much roomier than the pictures show, this cottage is perfect for 4 or 5. The cottage is quite clean and the beds comfortable. The kitchen is very basic but perfectly adequate. The cooking options are stovetop, microwave or toaster oven, but we found that did fine. There is a grill, but no propane although it can be purchased up the street. We elected to do without. The neighborhood is very peaceful, and the grocery store is literally 2 minutes away. The cottage is just a short walk down the street from the beach and we noted that 2 sand chairs and an umbrella are provided which would prove very handy in warmer weather than we enjoyed. There is no central heat or air-conditioning, but space heaters and fans are provided. We used the space heaters quite a bit as the weather was cold and rainy, and they did the job. Gina is easy to contact and very helpful. She even graciously mailed back 2 coats my daughter left behind! Sandwich is convenient to everything. It was an easy drive to Boston and Quincy, and Plymouth is just 20 minutes up the highway. In the other direction, Provincetown and the National Seashore are easy to access from the cottage and a scenic drive. Cape Cod is lovely even in the rain, and we used our one sunny day to bike along the Shining Sea Trail which afforded a surprising variety of scenery. Corner Bike Shop in Falmouth was a perfect place to rent bikes. The Sandwich Glass Museum is a great rainy day outing for people like us who really like history. Comfortable and clean, this cottage is in a great location. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again or to recommend it to friends and family.

Highly recommended!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed alone in this cute house for 4 days. I have a lot of local family so the door was always open. The neighbors are friendly, quiet, and only a 5 minute walk to the beach. I can't wait to come back.

Nice House in Quiet Neighborhood

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our short stay in this house. There was plenty of room for our family of three. It is not a fancy house and great for families with young children. Our daughter really liked running around in the backyard. Even though the weather was chilly and windy, we walked to the beach so our daughter could be on a beach and see the ocean for the first time. The beach was a bit rocky, but it was nice to be able to walk to it.

The weather was chilly (mid 50s), rainy, and windy during our stay. When choosing this house, we did not realize it did not have heating. There were portable electric heaters available, but the house was cold when we first walked in. The portable heaters worked well to heat up the house.

We would definitely stay in this house again!

Owner's Response: Erin, So glad you enjoyed your stay. We always debate how early to make it available because of the weather!! I think we will try to get over there to turn on the heaters before guests arrive when necessary. Glad they warmed up the cottage nicely. Gina

Close to the beach in a comfortable cottage

  • 4 of 5

A nice little cottage--two ample-sized bedrooms, a living-dining room, and a full kitchen. Not luxurious, but very comfortable. We were three adults who all had enough space. There is a backyard deck and a front porch as well. The owners are very friendly and more than willing to help with advice, information and help. The whole house has wifi.

Bring your own hairdryer. There is a good iron, a coffeemaker, adequate kitchen equipment for everything except ambitious dinners requiring special equipment, although a few more knives of varying sizes could be helpful.

We would have no qualms at all about staying there again if we are in the area. Furthermore, Sandwich is a wonderful town full of interesting historical sites and buildings from the 17th century and up, well worth spending a few days in if you are interested in American history and even glass and glass works

Nice and cozy. Close to the beach and a lot more.

  • 5 of 5

My wife, our 18 month old daughter and I stayed at the Town Neck Cottage for 4 nights in Aug and had a great time. Gina was a great host. The communication was easy and clear. She was friendly and very helpful whenever needed.

The cottage itself was very cozy and had the beach vibe to it. It was the perfect size for us. The neighborhood was great for a nice walk and the beach was literally 2 mins away. The best part was not needing to take the car out. There were a couple of restaurants and an ice cream place within walking distance but plenty more within a few minutes drive. The cottage was well equipped with all the necessities. Our daughter loved the backyard as she could run around and play. It was big enough to keep her away from the road.

Overall we had a very relaxing and refreshing time that we were looking for.
