About Tamera Windsor

I'm a lifelong Alaskan that grew up in Anchorage. I'm very proud of my hometown and can help with any questions or details about your holiday in Anchorage. As a local, I can steer you to the best things to do while in my hometown!

Tamera Windsor purchased this condo in 2011

Why Tamera Windsor chose Downtown

I moved to the country 7 years ago and needed a place in Anchorage to stay while in town on business so I wouldn't have to drive the 2 hours home. I wanted something downtown, close to the best restaurants I love, and be able to park and walk. Its steps away from our wonderful Saturday Market where you can buy fresh local produce and browse through our local artist's booths. The best art galleries, our excellent Rasmuson Anchorage Museum are downtown, as is our Performing Arts Center. So its perfect to enjoy a lovely meal with a bottle of wine and see a show! Or enjoy the local music scene!

What makes this condo unique

Close to all the best that Anchorage has to offer. Perfect for catching a train at the train station, or maybe you prefer to walk to our world class fishery at Ship Creek? Where you can purchased a fishing license and rent a rod to catch a fresh salmon for supper!

Great location, well stocked, clean, great decor. Tamera is great to rent from!

  • 5 of 5

The studio was perfect for my husband and me. Beautifully furnished, clean and comfortable . Tamera had snacks and water for us and the condo was well stocked with supplies, coffee, creamer, etc. The location was super. The weekend market is just next door and many restaurants are in walking distance. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! And the price was right! Also, reserved parking space so never a problem finding a space!

Great cabin feel with house amenities

  • 4 of 5

This is a great spot--the only reason I didn't give 5 stars was bc if anyone stays in the winter months they may be a bit cold in the Great Room and bathroom. The other rooms were toasty. Most people will be there in the Summer and wont need to worry--its a great location in the foothills near beautiful trailheads. A car is necessary.

Great place to stay in Anchorage

  • 4 of 5

This is a cute, comfortable, convenient place to stay in downtown Anchorage. We based here for a week in August 2017 and found it really convenient for walking or driving around the area, as there is a parking space included. We appreciated the amenities such as the comfortable bed, good wifi, cell service and provided coffee. Tamera, the owner, is very friendly and helpful.

Small Gem in a Big City!

  • 5 of 5

First of all, Tamera is a fantastic host; great communication, answered any questions we had about the area, and very accommodating to our needs! The condo was very clean, cozy for the two of us & private. Nice TV, very comfortable bed and the kitchen was perfect for preparing breakfast or an afternoon snack. Easy walking distance to downtown activities, bars & restaurants; the train station is a five minute walk away. The overall building is VERY clean inside, good security features on both front & rear access doors and we experienced zero problems with neighbor noise from other tenants. Reccomendations: 49th State Brewery (great patio views), Glacier Brewhouse, Humpy's (great Alaskan king crab legs), and Phillips Cruises & Tours 26 Glacier Cruise ( ride the Alaska Railroad from Anchorage to Whittier.)

Cozy and convenient

  • 5 of 5

The condo was in a perfect location for us...we could walk to the train station, to the Kobuk for donuts and coffee. A short drive to Moose's Tooth for great pizza. The condo is very clean and had everything we needed, and Tammy was so helpful!

Quaint Condo Located in the Heart of Downtown

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I traveled here for our 10th wedding anniversary. Tamera the condo owner was a wonderful resource and she gave us many recommendations for places to dine and visit around town and the surrounding area. The condo is right in the heart of downtown and within walking distance of pretty much all of downtown Anchorage. The kitchen is well stocked and the accommodations comfortable. We would definitely recommend this unit to any couple who are looking to explore Anchorage and the surrounding areas.
