About Mrs Vivien James
Rob and I have been holidaying in Dalyan for over 21 years and have also traveled around other areas of Turkey. Keci Evi for us is truly special and will one day be our home in Turkey when we retire.
Mrs Vivien James purchased this Villa in 2009
Why Mrs Vivien James chose Ortaca
Keci Evi was purchased in 2005. The location and the stunning view sold it to us. Since then we have been very patient while waiting for all the permissions to be granted in order to start the restoration. It was well worth the wait..
What makes this Villa unique
Keci Evi offers a very peaceful and tranquil holiday and yet is only 15 minutes drive to Dalyan. The views are stunning as is the local beach.

Perfect retreat in a stunning location - paradise!
Keci Evi more than surpassed our expectations. No words can adequately describe this beautiful place - we immediately felt at home in this lovely house which is very well-equipped - and the views - simply stunning! We loved swimming in the superb swimming pool surrounded by the most stunning scenery you can imagine. The description on the website is very accurate and the photos give a taster of the real thing but you just have to be there to fully understand.......we felt totally immersed in Turkish village life - the wildlife, sounds, smells all so evocative and we found it very hard to leave...
Everything from booking to returning home went very smoothly and owner is extremely helpful. Highly recommended if you want a holiday experience in stunning Turkish countryside with views to cherish forever.
A car is essential as the property is remote but that was the beauty for us - getting away from it all. Plenty to do in the local area but as we adored our retreat we couldn't wait to get back there each day.
You must visit the turtle rehabilitation centre at the back of the beach (dolmus end) - we saw baby turtles rescued from the beach that morning, to be released that evening - drive up into the hills and you will see the most incredible views over the beach and surrounding area - Kaunos well worth visiting - very atmospheric - we were rowed across the river by a lovely Turkish lady and walked up the hill - very hot but an enjoyable walk through lush tropical countryside and a great experience.
Our favourite places to eat were one of the local pancake houses, Sunset Special café high in the hills and Kosem Restaurant in Dalyan - all the locals are so friendly and welcoming.
All in all an amazing holiday experience and we can't recommend it highly enough - go there, you won't ever want to leave!
Thank you so much for taking the time to write us a review of your holiday with us at Keci Evi we are so glad you enjoyed your stay. Hopefully we will see you again in the future. Many thanks once more.
Brief fame was brought to nearby Dalyan in the late 1980s by loggerhead turtles or, more accurately, by David Bellamy and Kaptan June who led a world-wide campaign to halt a proposed development on Dalyans pristine three mile Iztuzu beach. The conservation battle was won and the whole Dalyan delta turned into a wildlife sanctuary in order to preserve its unique flora, fauna and way of life. Dalyan has everything - an outstanding beach, fascinating wildlife, strong local traditions and the majestic remains of an ancient city.
Boat is the best way to reach the many attractions of Dalyan, including mud baths. Drifting downstream you pass the 4th-century BC tombs which loom out of the cliffs, high above the river right opposite the town.
