Fantastic place to stay. Comfy with plenty of space and all the conveniences of home.
Really enjoyed our stay, great location to visit the volcano, beaches and the observatory at Mauna Kea. Jim and Kepi were very welcoming and shared their local knowledge. Definitely recommend!
Cute place in a tropical, rain forest-like setting!
Jim and Kepi were very nice, and you can tell they try hard to provide all your needs in a fun setting with a genuine Hawaiian feel. They were just a phone call away and right there to take care of any needs. The upstairs beds were a little small for two people, and not super firm, if you like a firm mattress. We didn't mind the geckos at all, but if you do, just know they are inside. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
It was great meeting you folks. The beds seem to be a 3 bears story. The last people said the beds were to firm so we put soft pads on them. And I guess you must have a King size bed at home as the beds upstairs are queen. Sorry. And the geckos are part of living in Hawaii. They are cute but get into the smallest spaces, the Hawaiians say it's good luck to have them.
Mahalo for staying at our place

Well stocked and comfortable
This VRBO was well stocked and very comfortable. My parents stayed with Jim and Kepi while my husband and I stayed at a nearby VRBO. They enjoyed the unit and Jim and Kepi supplied everything they liked from delicious coffee to a well stocked kitchen to shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Jim and Kepi were very nice hosts and know how to run an excellent VRBO. The grounds were beautiful and it was very nice to be able to sit out on the Lanai and enjoy.
Casual and comfortable
We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The location also worked out well for us as we were going to do things both in Hilo and at the volcano. Kepi was very responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.
Had a great time. Loved this place
Kepi and Jim's Place worked great for our family of 6. We loved their tropical yard and great attitudes. The home had everything we needed to cook and live and was well situated to see the east and south sides of the island. We would happily stay here again.
A bit of a drive out of town, but easy enough to get to. A beautiful property.
