A+ Superb View is unique for its view overseeing the Town of Nederland. It also is a charmingly decorated boutique space with highest quality bedding and beds. This is a 900 sq. ft. apartment in a private home. We specifically created this space for a vacation rental. We've painted with a light sage green for the Earth and a deep purple for the SKY. The space is eclectically furnished with rugs, chairs and pillows to blend with this color scheme, and our personal art collection.
Please note that this apartment is pet dander free. We will not accept reservations with pets.
We DO have cable television available in this unit. Internet service is reliable and fast.
You'll find a full bright kitchen equipped with all your cooking needs. Included is a coffee grinder, coffee maker, microwave and toaster. There are place settings for 6 at least of drinking, wine, and juice glasses as well as plates, bowls and saucers. There are pots and pans as well as skillets, a spice rack and two crocks full of kitchen utensils.
There is a bookcase with lots of reference books on the area's flowers, wildlife, wildflowers, etc. Lots of games in the child bedroom. The sofa bed is the best sleeper/couch on the market by Forma Furniture. There is a private bedroom as well with a comfortable queen bed and luscious bedding. The bathroom is off this bedroom. Also off this bedroom, is a gigantic walk-in closet. We are using it now as a bedroom for a child or a small adult, with a twin mattress and boxsprings.
There is a nice-sized sheltered patio outside the front door with a table and four chairs with comforable cushions. This certainly makes the apartment feel larger when the patio can be used. With the size of the patio, the apartment is more like 1,200 sq. feet.
Nederland is in close proximity to many features of the area. Withing the town limits, you can discover the Mining Museum operated by Boulder County, the infamous Carousel of Happiness, Wild Bear Center for Science and Nature Discovery. There are many local hikes such as the trail around Barker Reservoir, West Magnolia, Mud Lake and Caribou Open Space. Within approximately 10 miles lies the Indian Peaks Wilderness Area, James Peak Wilderness Area, and Rocky Mountain National Park within 40 miles. Trail rides are available through Sundance Stables, across the highway from Sundance Cafe, one of the most romantic settings for summer dinner on their deck with a view of the expanse of the Continential Divide, a mere 1 1/2 mile outside town limits.
For its size, Nederland hosts many great eateries and local music venues. I recommend almost all restaurants in town. The Pioneer Inn, the Stage Stop in Rollinsville, First Street Pub and Whistler's Cafe often if not always have late night music. The Very Nice Brewery has a great lineup of their locally crafted beer and offer dinner hour music. Although they do not serve food, you can bring it in to enjoy with your favorite brew, if you can make a choice. Blue Owl Books also often has early evening live music, all very local and good. Salto Coffee is also in that category with open mic on Tuesday night. There is a very good bike shop, Tin Shed, located in front of Salto. Ace Hardware is the place to get your fishing license and camping permits, right in town. They also are a great resource on what flies are biting where during the different seasons of the year. They have an ample supply of camping, outdoor and various sundry gear regarless of the season you visit.
What else can I say? Regardless whether you stay at A+ Superb or not, Nederland is an undiscovered gemstone of a small town in the Rocky Mountain Foothills. There has to be a good reason why we have been here over 25 years.
