The upstairs is equipped with a kitchen and living area with corner windows which offer a beautiful view of the Cascade Mountain range. The downstairs is a bedroom with a queen size bed and full bathroom. The guest house comfortably sleeps two however a third person can sleep on the single futon which is upstairs in the living area. The 400 sq ft. guesthouse is equipped with everything necessary to make for a comfortable and convenient stay.
The guesthouse has a full kitchen with brand new appliances including dishwasher and microwave. The radiant heated floors keep it cozy and warm in the winter. Unit also has a washer and dryer for guests' convenience. There is free street parking.
The guesthouse is located in the vibrant and historic Columbia City neighborhood. This up and coming neighborhood prides itself as being one of (if not the) most diverse zip codes in the United States. Only blocks away from delicious restaurants including Caribbean food, an amazing Sicilian restaurant, fresh sushi, a delicious bakery, a great brunch spot and many others. May through October enjoy the farmer's market on Wednesday afternoons which is located near a grassy park. BeatWalk is a monthly music festival (June through October) with live music at multiple venues in the neighborhood. There are also great bars, a movie theater and music venues with live music every night! It's the perfect neighborhood with easy access to the rest of the city.
Just a short walk away from Lake Washington which has beaches for summer swimming and a long path for walking year round. Also 5 minutes away from Seward Park which is a great place for walking, running, biking, and exploring.

I'm from Alaska originally but have lived in Washington for most of my life. I live in Seattle with my husband and our baby. We love to travel and see new places. Although, having a new baby has kept us closer to home lately. Before having a baby we enjoyed traveling in Cuba, Mexico, Hawaii, Canada, the San Juans and we had an amazing honeymoon in Greece. We hope to be able to travel more when our daughter gets a little older. For the time being are enjoying hosting guests in our new guesthouse. We hope people enjoy exploring our fantastic neighborhood and city. I enjoy making people feel at home and hope to be able to offer great insight and recommendations for things to do and places to see while in Seattle.

Elyse and Earl's guest house is the perfect little home for a Seattle vacation! We used the conveniently located light rail to travel to and from Safeco Field during a very busy weekend and were delighted with the ease and low cost! The guest house is very clean, full of natural light, and very comfortable! We will definitely stay here again!
We spend 3 days wonderful at there cottage.The place is better then the picture.It is set up with a cozy atmosphere and beautiful views.I think that the only thing missing is a TV. but it is still a super place.Highly recommend it. Bob and Olga Campbell
This was the perfect small house for me. It was immaculate, very comfortable, and had everything I needed for my stay. It's ideally located in the city. It is walking distance to Columbia City, light rail and buses. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Seattle.
I truly enjoyed coming "home" every evening during my stay in Seattle. The cottage felt safe, and the location was super convenient, just around the corner from the Link train station. The guesthouse itself was pretty and very clean, well-designed and with all the amenities one would hope for!

My husband and I stayed here four nights and while visiting our daughter who also lives in the Columbia City neighborhood. The guesthouse is very bright and clean, with the upstairs having a view of the mountains. It was well appointed and perfect size for two guests. It is located a short walk from the light rail which takes you to downtown or the airport, and to the coffee shops, restaurants, and grocery store in Colombia City and Hillman City. If you plan to visit locations in the city, you really don't need a car when staying here. Community is diverse which offers many options for dining!
