Host your yearly getaway at the pet-friendly Tahoe Pines Cabin. With an inviting deck, closeness to ski and beaches, plus fireplaces in all three bedrooms - and the loft, this spot will be your new home away from home.
Easily accessed via lakeside route 89, this Tahoe lodge is only a half a mile from Homewood Mountain Resort. Summer at the resort includes many events and scenic trails that transform into wintery wonders for skiing. Even more resort options are available at Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley, about 13 miles away. In summer, visit the dog-friendly Carnelian Bay beach just 11 miles north. A bit over five miles north is Commons Beach in Tahoe City, which offers weekly live music.
The cabin itself accommodates up to eight adults (10 guests if some are children). Every bedroom is a treat with cozy log beds (two rooms have kings and one has a pair of twins) and a gas stove. The loft has a futon, gas stove, and can even double as a family room with the TV.
In the living room you can watch a DVD or VHS from the home's own library while the wood-burning fireplace warms the room. On the raised deck, cook up kabobs on the gas grill to enjoy inside or out. The fully stocked kitchen will also allow you to easily make great meals.
Three bathrooms, a private washer and dryer, and WiFi are additional perks in this home.
There's even a telescope, which would be wonderful on the balcony! And, with an additional pet fee, dogs are invited.
With so much to do outdoors in this area, you'll want to come back over and over to experience it all. From paddleboarding on McKinney Bay to snowshoeing at Alpine Meadows, Tahoe never goes into seasonal hibernation.
This Lake Tahoe cabin is a prime spot for your next vacation, so book as soon as you can!
Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.
Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
Little things to improve as heaters but in general the cabin is beautiful and cozy.
The area is amazing too
We enjoyed our stay in this cabin.
Little things to improve but in general it was amazing
Very cozy and well decorated cabin! It had all the "Tahoe feel" I was looking for. Only downside was that I wished it offered some more kitchen cookware. But, that did not ruin my experience by any means.
Fist off the cabin was hard to find because this is an old picture and the cabin was a lot darker. Also the sheets were DIRTY!!! Suprising because we were not allowed an early check in and the company was very rude about it. Garbage was left around the house. Half of the lights didnt work, the shower didnt work properly either, jump in when its hot! The dryer was obnoxious, so loud! There were wet towels left in it. The supplies were half filled. There was no fire wood, the shampoo was half used, half a roll of paper towels (we had to buy our own), beds were so uncomfortable, my dogs have a better bed than this cabin. Also the door in the kitchen doesnt shut all the way. This made me very uncomfortable and it was hard to enjoy my stay.
Beautiful spot! We had a great time! Thanks for having sleds on hand!
